We loved staying at Spencer and Janet’s beautiful home in Santa Rosa. It was a great fit for us just after Christmas, with three generations, a total of six of us, including an eight-year-old.
Safari West, with giraffes, wildebeests, rhinos, and exotic birds, was a 24 minute drive door-to-door. Our whole group loved our visit there. Although it rained while we were in Santa Rosa,, we still walked out the back gate of the lovely backyard area into large park with hiking trails. We also walked the neighborhood, enjoyed making meals in the kitchen, and gave great use to the baby grand piano, and a little less use to the pool table. We also watched a couple movies on their giant flatscreen tv.
The house had a lot of space which we appreciated. The beds were very comfortable – – the upper part of the trundle bed is a little high off the ground, but worked fine.
When I had a question about the heating, the hosts answered the phone immediately and were friendly and helpful. They were also welcoming ahead of time when I had questions and this increased our excitement about the trip.
We highly recommend this lovely home.

This property has lots of stairs. NO handrails.
Stairs up to front door and several in backyard.
Handrails, especially in the backyard are really needed; Even on one side..
HotTub did not get hot; only warm at best.
Fan in main family room didn’t work.
Both of these issues brought up with owner.
While he was prompt, and nice, he was not able to instruct us how to fix these issues.
Hot tub equipment is really old.
We enjoyed the proximity to Annadel and Spring Lake.

Nice place as advertised. Convenient to the Dry Creek and Sonoma areas. Great value! Would stay again. Extremely quiet neighborhood which was certainly nice when having the windows open at night.

Enjoyed a fun weekend with three old buddies from college. The house is equipped with everything you can ask for. Location is great for exploring Napa Valley.

Excellent location for some lovely walks. Pool is heated by sun but hot tub was nice and warm. Comfortable home with lots of space, games, full kitchen, piano and pool table. Everything we needed was there. Master bedroom shower has the hot and cold mislabeled, but we quickly figured that one out.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked (eg. Shampoos etc if you forgot anything, extra towels for the pool, condiments). The owners even left some local welcome gifts, which was a very thoughtful touch. The pool table was very fun as well, and I’m sure families with kids would enjoy the video games. While it is not the most updated property we’ve ever stayed in, the location and amenities were wonderful, and we’d definitely stay again

It was the perfect place for our family vacation. The pool, bar-b-que and teak table with 8 chairs set the evening for a delightful outdoor meal in perfect 72-degree weather, then later in the evening gathering around the piano, playing games and finished the evening off watching the latest movie on a huge TV screen.

We had an amazing stay! The house was as listed with several homey extras that we appreciated. The pool is great and the beds are comfortable!

The house was perfect for our family! The owners were very quick to respond. The only thing I think renters should know ahead of time is that the hot tub/pool is off and you have to turn it on at least 90 minutes before you want to use it for it to heat up. We were looking forward to spending the day at 6 Flags (50 minutes away) and then coming to the house to go in the hot tub and with the 9:00 curfew that made it difficult. We had a great stay though and as long as you are aware of the heat up time you should have a great time!

We loved staying in this beautiful comfortable home. Everything was top notch including the mattresses, kitchen, outdoor space, pool table & more! We had a great time visiting some local wineries then relaxing in this fabulous neighborhood & home!

My wife and I enjoyed a nice long weekend in Santa Rosa. This house was great, in a convenient location to access local wineries, breweries, and restaurants. The hot tub and trails were a great plus! We spent a lot of time hiking the trails out the back door.

Lovely home, pool and access to hiking
This home is well set up for relaxing inside or out by the pool or in the hot tub. Access to hiking trails out the back gate was a major plus, as well. Fabulous property. If we get a chance to return, we will.

My family and I wanted a place to be together for the 4th, with some relatives traveling in from Florida. The home is even better than described; Spenser & Janet were thoughtful in their preparation. Relaxing poolside with great food made wonderful memories. Unreservedly recommend this beautiful place..

The house was great! Clean and well organized. The host kept in touch with us and even checked in during the stay.
The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. The drive way is pretty steep, it was easier to park on the street in front of the house to bring in the bags. Wifi was easy to connect, TV was easy to figure out. I loved the welcome gifts! They leave very easy to follow directions for everything/anything.
They have a piano and pool table that are ready to go! I was also surprised by the available books and games!
There is so many great wineries and restaurants nearby and hiking literally behind the house.
I would definitely stay here again.

The house was great! Clean and well organized. The host kept in touch with us and even checked in during the stay.
The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. The drive way is pretty steep, it was easier to park on the street in front of the house to bring in the bags. Wifi was easy to connect, TV was easy to figure out. I loved the welcome gifts! They leave very easy to follow directions for everything/anything.

The home is as it presents online complete with an amazing outdoor area with pool, spa, garden and plenty of outdoor seating. The inside is equipped with all the entertainment you could ask for, pool table, games, and consoles. We didn't event get to it all!

Wine country home away from home
California living at its best! We stayed at this private, lovely property for a week while we visited wineries in Sonoma and Napa. In between visits we enjoyed the custom pool and hot tub or went hiking in the park right behind the house. Some nights we grilled food on the patio gas grill. The owners provided everything we needed for our stay, including some wonderful snacks and coffee! Very comfortable beds and lots of room for us (six adults). One hour from the magnificent coast where our son and his girlfriend got engaged! Owners were quick to respond to every inquiry. Highly recommend!
