This was our 9th year renting on Folly and this house was a disappointment. The location was perfect; block and a half to the beach, 2 blocks to Bert’s, 4 blocks to Center St.
The overall feel of the house was shabby and worn. The back door had rot damage on the bottom, the fixtures had wear spots on them, screen porch had loose screens - so bugs came in, washer and dryer were old and in the basement - musty smelling.
Location is the house’s best feature.

We arrived about 3 weeks after hurricane Ian blew through. The property held up pretty well with only a few screens missing from the front porch. It could use a little TLC.. but still very nice.
The property was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped!

It was just the right size and in a good location. We loved the front porch but found it disappointing that most of the screens were missing or broken. Kitchen was great! Lots of character in this house but it needs some work. Laundry is located in the musty basement and the smell of mildew was too strong. The 3rd bedroom had cardboard covering one of the windows. One queen bed was very comfortable, the other was rock hard. We probably wouldn't stay in this particular location again.

Nice but small house. Ideal for family of four as long as your children aren't too old. If you have teens, one shower won't be ideal, otherwise it was clean and comfortable.

Very good location but dreadful interior and hardware in tub/shower was literally falling off and not working properly. Good thing we were able to even get the water to shut off. Terribly overpriced for what it was, I felt robbed after leaving. We rented another house several doors down and just stayed there 90% of our stay. Won’t rent this property again unless it’s renovated!

Very good location but dreadful interior and hardware in tub/shower was literally falling off and not working properly. Good thing we were able to even get the water to shut off. Terribly overpriced for what it was, I felt robbed after leaving. We rented another house several doors down and just stayed there 90% of our stay. Won’t rent this property again unless it’s renovated!

We had a great time! The host was in constant contact and check-in was super easy (even texted us that we could check in early!) Short walk to the beach and to town (bars/shops etc.). The house fit 4 of us perfectly - only downside is not enough mirrors for 4 women and couch is not super comfortable (:

We loved this house. It was clean, cozy and quiet. We loved all the extra little touches and the new deck. We enjoyed the front porch and the good beds.

We had a great time! The host was in constant contact and check-in was super easy (even texted us that we could check in early!) Short walk to the beach and to town (bars/shops etc.). The house fit 4 of us perfectly - only downside is not enough mirrors for 4 women and couch is not super comfortable (:

Adorable home, perfect location
The house and furnishings were very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Everything we needed was provided. Lots of info left by the host on the area, places to eat/shop, and things to do. Short walk to the beach, bars, restaurants, and shopping. Loved sitting up on the sundeck. Hope we can visit again soon!

This house is located within walking distance to Center St, and also has very close beach access. The home was perfect for 3 adults. Nice size patio, off street parking, decent kitchen (we didn't do any real cooking - too many restaurants to enjoy!) We will be back, we love Folly!

only one dresser with a broken knob. so one drawer was hard to use. no dressers in other rooms and very few hangers.
hooks would be very helpful on the backs of doors or where ever.
faucets in bathtub/shower in bad shape. need replaced.
grass needed cut
AC broke while we were there, We appreciated the quick response.
It was unclear and difficult to get an actual person to speak to. lots of recording and texting. a more personal response would be very appreciated.

We will be back, Folly! The house was great and ready for us. This was our third year in this house and we love the location!! The only things we needed that were not available in the house were aluminum foil and bowls with lids. House is pretty cramped for two couples and rooms are close together so impossible to not wake people up at night. Would be good for parents with 2 or 3 kids. Will try a new spot next time. Vacasa is very responsive and helpful otherwise.

Great location! Short walk to the beach but still able to walk to the restaurants and shops in town. There`s also a great pirate-themed playground a few blocks away. Many items provided that we`ve had to bring ourselves to other beach rentals - linens, towels, toiletries, trash bags, hand and dish soap to name a few. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Folly Beach!
