We enjoyed everything about our stay at Grayling cottage. Nicely appointed, comfortable, and super convenient just steps to everything in town. Would highly recommend for a Highlands vacation.

The Grayling Cottage is an ideal location for those who want to be able walk around downtown and never get in the car. We walked to dinners, shopping, the Old Edwards Inn spa and even some nearby trails for a hike. There's a great restaurant/bar called The Stubborn Seed located directly across the street. The steps to get up to the house are steep and rugged and could be a challenge to people carrying large bags or heavy groceries, or for those who aren't mobile. There was some light road noise, but that's to be expected from a house so close to town. The house was comfortable and had all the basics for an enjoyable trip. We are giving the management company 3 stars for 2 reasons: First, I contacted them in advance to inquire if the house provided hair dryers so we would know whether or not to pack them. The email response stated that all bathrooms had hairdryers. (Just fyi, the room with the 2 twin beds did not. This isn't a huge deal but could've been avoided with better communication) Our second issue was that the gas fireplace would not operate while we were there. We followed instructions very carefully in the house manual but had no luck. We contacted management twice, but no one offered helpful information. We were told they would "try" and send someone out but never heard from them again and they didn't respond to a subsequent message. This was a big disappointment considering the weather was chilly. A fire would have made the weekend complete.

The cottage was so cute and had a great layout for our family. The deck was nice for morning coffee. The best part is the location! The cottage is an easy walk to everything in downtown Highlands.

We enjoyed the home’s location. It was so easy to walk to town. Everything was nice and clean. The bed sheets need to be replaced with new linens. The only other negative was . The 14 front steps made it very difficult to enter the house with luggage & groceries. Much too steep for older guests.

Loved our stay at Grayling cottage. Was everything and more than we expected. The location is perfect walked everywhere and the house felt like home. We were in town finalizing wedding plans for my daughter it will definitely be on the list of recomended locations.....

Grayling Cottage was perfect for our weekend in Highlands for a wedding. The house is walkable (<5 mins) to downtown. The downstairs area is nice and spacious. Everything was in great condition and very clean. Each of the rooms is comfortably sized. One thing to note, the house is up a few rock stairs, if that impacts anyone in your party. We would absolutely return to stay in the future.

Beautiful home with great space to hang out and sleep well. We loved being so close to town and had great communication from management throughout our stay.
