We booked this property because we were evacuated from our home due to Hurricane Ian. We escaped to the location because it was in a non flood area and we were hoping we were safe.

We really should not have been charged as we were in a complete bind and had nowhere else to evacuate to so we booked this property as an escape from the hurricane. We were charged for cleaning services (ridiculous as the fans in the apartment were filthy, see photos) and had no power for our stay even though the neighbors in the house next door were watching Netflix (we checked during the storm) The owners told us to check the fusebox outside the house, which we did, only to see the power cable to the house was dangling in the wind because the garden fence had fallen on it. Not the owners fault but still, we had no power and should not have paid anything. They have a management company in Colorado called Evolve running the 'second home' which looked like it had more than one other small apartment as part of the property, thankfully they refunded $200 of the $465 we were charged ($180 for cleaning). Is the place somewhere I would book to stay in St. Pete? No.

Not a fan of Florida's summer heat. We were in town for a family funeral so the cottage was a refreshing oasis for the emotions of the time.
