It’s at the top of a very steep hill if you are walking up from the town. Very good for walking off coffee/ cake / beer but you need to take a deep breath 😬

Tastefully decorated throughout. All mod cons, we could hope for. Cosy. Perfect for couples.
Hostess had great communication, and very friendly and helpful. This will always be our first choice when visiting Holmfirth.

Very nice comfortable well equipped cottage set back from the bustle of the main town . Providing excellent facilities even down to toiletries you might have forgotten

What an exceptional little place to stay with the most incredible service, very convenient location close to everything in town. Clean, comfortable place to stay.

Loads of little extras and beautifully kitted out . Scenery is fantastic and the town is fabulous.
Stairs need a hand rail. TV wasn't very good . Toilet was hard to flush .

Everything was lovely. The host has gone the extra mile and thought of lots of lovely little extras. The bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Nothing was overlooked.
It's not the host fault but the location was hard work for us. We're not young and that hill was so steep. We got a taxi back after going for dinner as we couldn't face the walk. The shower was a bit temperamental too.

Jo provided everything. From sweets to coffee and milk. Jo had thought of everything. It was a pleasure to stay there.

A lovely little house, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and very well equipped. The location is ideal for visiting Holmfirth - a few minutes walk from the town centre. Easy parking. The host communications were comprehensive and friendly.
The walk back is very steep, which is in the nature of Holmfirth, but you need to be reasonably fit, or make a few stops along the way.

This cottage is a little gem, there was everything we needed. They provided tea, coffee, herbal tea, sweets, biscuits, crisps. which was a lovely touch. The location was central near all amenities. Holmfirth is a lovely friendly place with bars restaurants bistros, and the best venue for gigs The Picturedrome, so this cottage is a perfect place to stay.

Everything, a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Everything you needed was there inc toiletries and treats. Joanne had thought of everything. Thank you for a wonderful stay and hopefully we will be back soon x

This is a perfectly formed, small house with great facilities. The quality of bed linen, kitchen equipment etc is excellent and the host provides some charming little extras (chocolates, coffee pods as well as the usual tea(s), coffee, fresh milk etc AND chocolate biscuits and good quality crisps). It's a few minutes' walk (down the steep hill!) into Holmfirth centre and there's plenty of walks around the area. PERFECT for a solo traveller or a (tidy) couple!
It's SO good, I wouldn't fault it. I was travelling by public transport so wasn't troubled by the parking (which isn't directly outside the house).

Everything was perfect, lots of lovley touches milk in the fridge and snacks, coffee and tea although we brought our own ,all toothbrushes and toothpaste if needed fantastic will stay again if we were to come back again thanks jo
Just maybe let any body with walking problems that it is up a very steep road ,if the are not very good on the feet

A beautifully appointed and very clean small end of terrace. The decor was tasteful and well thought out. Very comfortable bed, we slept well! We really appreciated the goodies and milk that were left for us, spare toothbrushes and toothpaste a great idea.
Great communication with Jo our host- much appreciated.
This is NOT a criticism but just be aware that the kitchen is tiny but very functional with everything you need and more.
There is a steep hill up and down to get to the town, no problem for us as we are used to hills!

Lovely little cottage that was great for the two of us. Joanne gave us plenty of information and fab welcome pack. There was everything there that we needed and the bed was so comfortable.
Not a complaint but the bank is quite steep.

the property was lovely and really clean , the host was really good at communicating with you if you needed to know anything . although the cottage was at the top of a steep hill i would highly recommend this property to family and friends and will definately be returning
there wasnt anything we didnt like superb cottage
