This beautiful hotel is well located and has a fantastic Irish pub on the first floor with a top notch selection of beers and cocktails, not to mention a friendly staff. Guests of the hotel have the use of a coffee and tea bar 24 hours a day, which is located in the second floor lounge. The rooms are a bit outdated, such as the floor rug and other little details. All in all, i highly recommended this hotel.

We stayed 10 days to visit Smithsonian museums. Great service, friendly people, and location super convenient. One block from Union Station and the Circulator stop. We walked and took the Circulator to most museums, the capitol, and the White House. We were well treated. Enjoyed the bar, too.

Very comfortable bed. Super clean and stylish room. Appreciated the complimentary ear plugs for the live music in the pub below, eventhough so didn’t need them. Easy electric scooter ride to anywhere I wanted to go.

The location was great—- walkable to almost everywhere. The staff were great. The hotel was very clean. Dubliner was s bonus—- great good and drinks! Def recommend.

Check-in was a breeze and the hotel was lovely, including the awesome coffee/espresso machine on the 2nd floor. Location is great for public transportation as Union Station is only one block away. There are not many restaurants in the near vacinity exept in Union Station which does not stay open late. Onsite restaurant is ok, did get 2/2 of our orders wrong.

Really nice place to stay.. VERY comfortable bed, nice shower head, great coffee machine/sitting area for hotel guests and a small but “gets the job done gym” downstairs.
The location is close to the Capitol building and is a short walk or Uber ride to restaurants, shops and tourist attractions.
The Dubliner is the restaurant attached to the hotel and had really good food with a nice patio!

Phoenix Park Plaza is exceptionally clean, the staff was excellent.food was good.
If you happen to be in an electric wheel chair, the elevators are very small and the room we had was very small, Howe we made it work! Within 1 block of union station, very close to Capitol building,red bus is a block away and will drop you memorials, monuments and museums very reasonable. Parked in underground parking 22 per day.

We thought our location was perfect! Walking distance to museums and restaurants. Everyone was friendly and the room was comfortable and very clean.

Despite being a very old building, it is very updated and fresh and modern. The staff was really great and helpful. We arrived from the airport at 9am, and they let us keep our bags there until our room was ready. So we could start our DC activities.
The location is great. Just a block from Union Station to quickly take the metro anywhere in DC. Can easily walk to Capital or Supreme Court from there. And the is a Capital Bikeshare stand right there, to bike to any of the main sites.

What a deal for the Phoenix Park Hotel thru Vrbo.. I am not sure how I lucked out, but the cost was half off with Vrbo vs. the hotel's own website. Just down the street from the US Capitol, across from Union Station, easy access to Metro and buses, walking distance to soany things ... AND the world famous Dubliner Irish Pub is part of the building. Would stay here again in a heartbeat..it's also a designated Historic Small Hotel.

This is a great spot at a nice hotel. It's right across the street from Union Station, a few blocks from the Capitol and quick walk to tons of other spots. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Definitely meets your basic needs, walking distance to the train station, doorman on call most hours, king size bed was comfortable. Added touch was a coffee and other hot drinks machine on the second floor. Lobby had the entrance to the pub offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

What a great find! This hotel is close to everything - the Capitol, the National Mall, even Union Station if you don't feel like walking. The room was clean and the hotel was lovely, but renting through VRBO gave us an added layer of security in the transaction and came at an even better rate than most hotels. Highly recommend!

The location was excellent. We were able to easily walk places and catch the circular bus across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable. The shower was nice. However, the room was much smaller than the pictures showed. Once we had our luggage in, there was barely room to move.There is no where to put your luggage but on the floor. There was only one bedside table, not two. We didn’t spend much time at our room, only to sleep, but more room would have been nice.

We appreciated that they accommodated our last minute schedule change. Property was very clean. Very conveniently located to the capital, union station and DC Circulator bus. It was nice to unwind at The Dubliner at the end of the day. They had outdoor seating for dinner. Perfect for our needs.

I entitled my review as the staff is outstanding because they are. The problem with the property is that my room was located at 312. I had to listen to an Irish band until well after 12mn. I am sure they were having a great evening, but it shouldn't impact those trying to sleep. The walls are also very "thin" I could here the guests next door taking way past 12mn. I am sure they did not realize they were disturbing others, but I guess it is just the building. The temp in the room is also hard to keep at a preferred level as the window seems to be slightly cracked and cold air coming in. Tried to shut the window, but it would not budge.

Just a short walk to the restaurants and hot spots of Massachusetts Street, a breathtaking view of the Capitol Building right out front, and less than two miles to the White House and the Capitol Mall with all the monuments. It's a busy location but once inside your very nicely appointed room the quiet is remarkable - no waking up to everyone else's morning noise in the halls (and in the plumbing!). The staff was charming, helpful and very friendly, special shout to Darren at the desk and bellhop Bashir! A WONDERFUL find in DC, especially if you don't enjoy staying in big, homogenous hotels that could be anywhere.

My boyfriend and I couldn't have asked for anything better. This was the perfect location. The capital was in clear view when you walked outside and it wasn't a far walk or a quick uber ride to everything you would want to see. Can we just talk about the Dubliner on the first floor... are you kidding!! it was so GOOD!! Great food and drinks and a complete vibe with live music! I will definitely be staying here again.

We were very happy with our stay. The location of the hotel was perfect, with Union Station and the Circulator bus within very easy walking distance. The room was immaculate, and we enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the lounge throughout the day. I want to give a special shout out to the people at the front desk, especially Robin and MyChelle. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. We'll definitely book this location again the next time we travel to D.C.

This was the perfect small, but still enough room for two, hotel room for one night. We stayed here so that we would be able to walk 15 minutes to Capitol One Arena for a concert. The staff was lovely, bed was comfy and the really cool coffee machine one the second floor was awesome! Would stay again.

We loved the hotel and its connection to The Dubliner. It was as described in the listing. The bed was very comfortable, staff was extremely nice and helpful.
