Located right across the river from downtown Saugatuck. You'll need to drive around to get there though :) It's a great location to sit on the screened porch and listen to the music across the water. Very spacious place. Lots of sleeping but one bathroom; bigger groups will need to coordinate accordingly. Lovely time of year to go, No AC but short walls allow air to move freely in the upper bedroom space. Kitchen is large and has pretty much you'll need. Everything was as expected. We had a great time!

We had a family wedding and it was perfect for having a few of my family members for dinner. It’s comfortable and cozy, yet plenty of room to never feel crowded. Well stocked towels and kitchen utensils. We enjoyed the screened porch. Beach is a short distance away. Definitely going to rent again.

8 of us stayed for 2 nights for a special get-away together —and it was more than we hoped for! The accommodations, charm, cleanliness, LOCATION and ease of living was perfect. We loved it all!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will be back!!

Great location making it easy to get around. We were worried about not having AC, but house quickly cooled off after opening windows and turning on fans. Lots of character to home and layout was perfect for extended family vacation.

This home was in the perfect setting on the quiet side of Saugatuck. Not having to worry about parking was nice and to travel over to all of the shopping on the chain ferry was so fun! The house is right next to a 1 mile trail that takes your right to Oval beach.
The character of this house is endless and has everything you need. A room downstairs for our parents to sleep in and plenty of space upstairs for us and an entire room dedicated to our clothes! Haha
Only reason I gave a 4 is because the house doesn't have air conditioning. It got pretty hot throughout the day.

This is the second time my family has stayed here. We love the old charm and great river viewing front porch. We would come again this summer if there were dates open.

We always enjoy Saugatuck in the Fall and this trip was exceptional. Our home away from home choice truly added to the experience.
Because of being elderly, we did find all the stairs daunting. And the toilet in the main bathroom definitely needs to be higher.
However I would still give this cottage a 5 star review. It was charming and we absolutely loved the screened porch overlooking the river.

We loved the screen porch the most, playing games in the evening and enjoying coffee in the morning watching the boats go by. The cottage is a unique blend of a historical family cottage and an upgraded newer home. Specifically, the juxtaposition of the modern kitchen's convenience and the claw foot tub and exposed rafters beaconing back to times gone bye. There is a palpable sense of historical connection with the area that feels like a privilege to be permitted to share in. Thank you for sharing this lovely place through Vacas! We plan to come for another stay in the future, such a great place!

This was a great cottage to stay in! An amazing location close to the beach, awesome coffee spot, and town. The cottage has everything you need for a stay and has so many great places to congregate and relax.

Such an amazing location and view. We loved this dog friendly cabin and how close it was to the chain ferry. We will be back!

Perfectly located with an amazing porch and water view. The whole place was charming and unique. A couple of jenky things like the kitchen faucet kept it from being 5 stars, but we’d definitely go back!

My family and I adored the screened in porch most, as we enjoyed the cool breeze and river views. The upstairs bedrooms are also particularly charming, but a little warm in the summer (there's no air conditioning). It's a beautiful home in which to explore Saugatuck and the surrounding areas!

Saugatuck Cottage
Beautiful original antique vacation cottage, well preserved and maintained. Everything was as advertised, clean and prepped. The location was amazing, immediately across the river from downtown Saugatuck, right at the chain ferry dock. Plus the forest trail to Oval Beach starts right outside the door. We couldn't have been happier with the property.

House was spacious and had a wonderful "beach" feel. Directly across the street from the Ferry and the huge screened in front porch was excellent for relaxing and watching the boats go by.
