I booked this rental for a long weekend girls trip for 5 adults. We thought the house was well set up, had lots of space and was comfortable! The view is beautiful, right on the lake and the location was great. Our main issue was cleanliness- I would say generally the place was very clean (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen), however, the fabric furniture (sofa and dining chairs was dirty appearing/stained. We put blankets on them to sit on so it worked out. Some minor issues were probably due to location not being used frequently enough (as other reviewers mentioned). We otherwise had plenty of toilet paper, towels, found the kitchen well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the location very peaceful. We didn't make use of the outdoor area so could not comment on it. The management company was very responsive and fixed whatever other minor issues that arose (initial key code didn’t work-sent a new one, TV wasn’t working-just needed to flip the breaker). We overall enjoyed our stay, if the furniture was switched out it could be a 5/5 stay.

The house's location was amazing, right on the creek and down the street from the lighthouse. The space was full of light and the beds were comfortable and clean. Unfortunately we had a handful of issues, none of which were dealbreakers but made the stay less comfortable and more frustrating. The TV didn't work, and the kitchen came with a single paper towel roll (we were told that's all we were allotted for our 4 day stay). We weren't provided a dish rack or dish towels, which made it difficult to do the dishes after meals. The management company was responsive over text, but always told us they were reaching out to someone else for an answer that never came.

DIRTY, poor customer service and greedy management company, Home Sweet Hudson. The home was disappointing. Very dirty overall...dirty couch, cob webs everywhere...pendant light that is eye level in living room, ceiling corners, steps... dried up dead plants, curled up rug under dining table that I tripped on twice, not enough towels, dirty deck furniture with cob webs too, uninviting and dirty outdoor table area that no one would eat at. Definitely not worth the money. We expected more. Home Sweet Hudson did not abide by the 100% refund policy if cancelled more than 30 days from check-in date. They kept a credit card processing fee, which is unheard of, and we re-booked within 3 hours just to change the payment method. All well over 30 days from check-in. A host should never treat a Guest as such. Never again.

Lovely home, great location, would stay again.

We enjoyed the home being on the lake. We had plenty of small towns around to visit and great options for dining in town as well at nearby Woodstock.
