Not good experience, nothing I can say I liked - house has been set up for house of multi occupancy & is like a youth hostel, all single beds, no doubles, 1 shower & toilet - previous guests rubbish piled in rear yard

Not good experience, pile of rubbish from previous guests left in rear yard, smelling and serious health & safety risk as attracts vermin, contacted management company who sent someone the day after, left note stating, called to look at the rubbish reported’ (if they manage the property, surely rubbish should be fully removed after each letting) as they said no answer- very strong air freshener smell throughout the property which was so overwhelming we had to vacate a day early as could not sleep and caused chest issues, too strong to even be able to eat/drink in the property- not a good location as tyre garage over road which opens early, so very noisy from early morning - would not have stayed at all but for attending a family wedding

The location was great for is and the house was lovely and clean and modern. The beds were really comfy

The shower was cold. The taps had hot water but the shower didn't.

Despite walking into a dishwasher full of dirty dishes which we then had to clean by hand, the property was generally clean and tidy.

Despite booking for 7, only 6 beds were available so I shared a single bed with my daughter. Not ideal but we made the best of it. My account got charged a damage deposit twice so a total of £400 was not returned to my account until today (4 days after our break ended). The staff did look into this straight away but once any value is taken, it gets "held" by the bank. Prior to starting the break we were also contacted to say we owed an additional some of £60 to cover the cost of the children's stay despite booking them! The staff did eventually agree to waiver any charges after sending screenshots of my booking( although these charges were not relevant anyway) We also kept receiving multiple emails of the same nature due to the technical issues between booking.com and homely homes which was very confusing. If we responded, to question what was going on we would get the same automated response back twice in a row! In the end we we were contacting the staff directly via WhatsApp to avoid confusion and they were apologetic. Despite all the setbacks, we enjoyed our break but probably wouldn't book a house via booking.com again. Far too much hassle, confusing and left us anxious prior to even going.
