Far from the hustle bustle of the city, Kabeeraalaya is situated in the lap of nature. Very calm and homely atmosphere. The host, Mr. & Mrs. Suresh chhetri treats guests as their family members. Special mention to Mrs. Chhetri, she is a great host. Must visit for family stay.

You need to walk 200-300 meters to reach Kabeeraalaya home stay.

From the moment we arrived at Kabiraalaya homestay and met Suresh and Suju we knew we had found the perfect homestay. Suresh met us with a friendly smile in the driveway and walked us to their home. Suju then met us with her beautiful smile and we were presented with khata. The welcome was very special. We met their lovely son and Suresh's mother who also helped to look after us. Our room and bathroom had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Suju showed us the shortcut to the road and gave us good directions for exploring the town. The location is so peaceful and quiet but also only a short walk to the town, markets, and toy train. The food they prepared for us was delicious. The best we have eaten in India We loved the views from the balcony and their garden is amazing with flowers and lots of vegetables. We enjoyed cups of hot tea and popcorn made the traditional way. They helped us arrange our hike by connecting us to a local guide and giving us a lot of information from their own experiences. We feel very blessed to have experienced this homestay We met as strangers and left as family.

Our stay at the Kabiraalaya homestay was truly amazing. The room was nice and clean and the food was always delicious. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. Meeting them and learn about their town and culture was a Highlight of our trip through India.

The host is amazing the kindest and most lovely family ever! The location is peaceful, quiet and magical. The place has the best food in india for sure, and the view from the room is stunning. Highly recommended!

Everything was great

Exceptional place. Room was clean and comfy, nice terrace on top with beautiful views. Balconies full of flowers and trees, adding it's own charm. Owner was super helpful and carrying. Calm place to stay away from the town hustle and noise. Connection is good, so centre is easily accessible. Had delicious dinner every evening, surrounded with family members together with nice talks by the cup of tea. Felt like real HOMESTAY. Will come back!

This hotel is absolutely superb ,the room are spotlessly clean and comfortable, thanku to suresh bhaiya and her wife how they maintain this hotel. The most important thing i like this hostel that they are pure vegetarian and in darjeeling getting pure vegetarian hotel is very difficult.It is great and enjoyable time for me and my family to stay in this hotel.I would highly recommend to everyone to meet them and book this hostel.If in future i ever come to darjeeling i book this hotel only❤️.
