The rental was was exactly as described in reviews, a little dated but very clean & convenient to restaurants,grocery store & gift shops.I went for the beach & could not have gotten anything any closer to the beach. It’s literally right out your door & you can hear the waves crashing while drifting off to sleep, ❤️ this place!!!

clean but basic not much for kitchen utensils and pots and pans barely usable , beds are uncomfortable. very close to a busy road, Beautiful deck right on the beach a lovely beach and friendly people.

We stayed at this lovely home on the beach. Had a wonderful, restful time. Its very convenient to shops and restaurants.

Could not beat the views and location! The house needs some basic updates like curtains for the front door window. We had to put up bed sheets to prevent the folks across the street from looking right inside. Had the same problem in the master bath, the blinds were broken, could not shut them. Had to use a towel. The master shower is extremely small even for a small person 5' 7". Very uncomfortable. Also, no salt/pepper or glasses in kitchen but plenty of mugs. These are little things but basic, low cost amenities (except for the shower) that you would expect for the price. We had a great time at Edisto and will be coming back but most likely in a different house.

As others have mentioned a bit dated but positives outweigh any negatives! Will stay again, the view from the dining table, the deck and acess to the beach are unbeatable.

Cute house, great location! Literally the location could not be better! We sat on the porch and watched dolphins playing everyday! It was also very clean and well stocked with supplies. The pictures do show several Sun chairs, but there is only one.

This place sits right on the beach. Beautiful views. Great sunrises and sunsets. Great location for seashells 🐚 🐚🐚🐚🐚.

We found this house to be very comfortable and one of the better pet friendly beach rentals we’ve had. It’s furniture (inside and out) was well maintained and comfortable. Everything was clean and the view was excellent. It would have been nice if it had a 240v outlet for electric car charging since there aren’t any public options on the island. The kitchen is a bit sparse, so bring your own cooking utensils if you plan on eating in.

The view and location were incredible! This is a quintessential old Edisto beach cottage. We were very comfy and cozy but the house could use a lot of TLC. We spent a freezing Christmas here and it was so peaceful. Will definitely rent again and look forward to some updating but overall great stay!

This ocean front home is older but cozy, pet friendly and reasonably priced. We have stayed here in the past and hope to stay again. Some updates have been made since our last visit. We are hopeful some additional updates will be made. In particular, the side door leading into the kitchen is in need of some TLC. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay while you enjoy the area.

I didn’t appreciate the painting before we checked in. I have COPD. I HAD A HARD TIME BREATHING UNTIL the fumes cleared out. I loved the place on beach, we had a nice time, wished it was a little warmer. My sister and I appreciated the dishwasher tabs and washer pods. Not every place we rent did that for us.

Edisto is a great place and Corrigan was such a well maintained house, clean and easy access to the beach. Such a slow paced part of the low country will definitely come back.

The Corrigan location is hard to beat. The house is beside Beach Access 1A, so it is not only right on the beach but also close to restaurants and stores. The television and the internet have been improved since last year. We look forward to returning next year.

This property is right on the beach. We watched the sunrise each morning from the deck that is so close you feel like you’re on the beach. We loved the location and the home had everything we needed.

I was disappointed in the overall condition of the home. The ceilings are water stained and there are very obviously poor patch work throughout the main living area. Some of the outlets and switches do not work. The left bedroom sliding door will not open. The blinds in one bathroom and the kitchen are broken and need replacing. The staff had done a good job cleaning and the location was good. I am doubtful I would rent this house again. Vicki Zissette

We've rented Corrigan for MANY years and love it. We consider it our home away from home. Well maintained, regularly upgraded, and so cozy.

This island is extremely quiet and relaxing! This was a much needed break. House was great and closest to the waves that I have ever been. Only downside was lack of good restaurants!

What an amazing stay and highly recommend. Our family could not be happier and without hesitation would stay at this property again. The house is just as it is advertised and was perfect for us. Plenty of space for 6 (my husband and I, plus our two girls and their friends). So close to the beach, just walk down the stairs and you are there. The beach is like we like it, not crowded, enough waves to have fun, but not too much that you are scared to be in the water. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, reading on the beach, seeing dolphins throughout the day, the night sky (at night, very little light pollution) and even saw a shooting star one night. Close enough to Charleston and Angel Oak for those that want to do a day trip. The outside deck does not have a cover, so when it did rain, we just put up our bench tent and enjoyed the sight and sounds of the ocean (one consideration for home improvement, adding some sort of awning to be on the deck during rain and block the morning sun). It had been a few years since we’d been at the beach and Editso has now become our new favorite— already thinking of plans to come back next year. A perfect unplugged week with my family! Life is good! Thank you for opening your home.

We were on the beach but it seemed like a cheap motel room on the beach,. No coffee filters, no door or window screens, and the two sofas were like sitting on cotton balls. Most VRBOs feel like someone really lives there and cares about comfort. Not up to the usual standard of a VRBO.

We had a great time until the last day. We asked a d was approved for an extra hour for check out from 10 am to 11 am. The housekeeping staffed shows up at 10:15 am and was aggressively trying to get in the house even though we had arranged an extra hour. Soured my whole vacation. Not sure I’ll use Virbo again.
