We loved everything about this property. It is perfectly located less than a mile from Downtown and close to all the hiking trails. Every detail has been thought out in this lovely home. Plenty of linens, blankets and plates/cutlery if you need it. The small touches made this home perfect. There is a gas fireplace that is controlled by a single button so it made it very convenient on the cold evenings that we stayed in. All rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. The sunroom is a beautiful spot to watch nature and enjoy the morning and afternoon sun beams. Our hostess was so thoughtful and left us some personal touches that made the arrival even more welcoming. If you are in to pickle ball there are some great courts that are walking distance from the property. If it is warmer on your stay, the front porch and covered deck would make amazing hangout spots.One note: Although the house is located conveniently to downtown Highlands, there are not sidewalks all the way to downtown so you will need to take a car. Parking is ample so no issue though. The cuisine is exquisite, especially at Four65 and Madison's.All the ladies in my group would 100% book this home again.

The house was in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The house was not far at all from Main Street.

Awesome location- only a few minutes from Highlands in a quiet neighborhood. The house is perfectly appointed with everything you need for a short (or longer) stay. The owner was very accommodating and helpful with check in. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Highlands

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was so cozy and welcoming. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us, comfortable beds, updated bathrooms and lovely decorations! The screened porch off the back is the perfect place to read, play a board game or have a glass of wine. The location is incredible, just a mile from town but really quiet and private neighborhood. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We are frequent visitors of Highlands and I cannot say enough good things about this house. It is a great location, pictures on listing are representative of the property, and all of the small touches make the house one of our all-time favorites. From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. Even prior to arrival, Janet made sure we had everything we needed. We will most definitely be back!

We absolutely loved this home. It was perfectly situated close to town. Loved the quiet neighborhood tucked away in downtown Highlands. The house was so clean. Our hostess was so courteous and helpful. We cannot wait to return.

We had a wonderful time in Highlands this trip. This is our second trip for Bear Shadow and I expect it to become a yearly trip. The location were perfect and in close proximity to everything. The property was lovely as was the neighborhood. We had a seamless check in and Janet was amazing to work with. Thank you for letting us stay!

Our stay at this property was perfect...from the fresh pound cake to the gorgeous flowers that our host provided. The property was very clean and so close to downtown Highlands. Janet was incredible to work with and if we had any questions, she responded quickly,. Will definitely be back. A great girls weekend.

We had a fantastic stay! The home was true to photos, very spacious for a family of three. Cozy, nice decor, well-equipped and in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect proximity to town and many beautiful hikes. Janet was a great host and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely return!

Initial ease of finding the house was the beginning of a positive experience. House was comfortable, updated/new in appearance and cleanliness. Minutes from the main area of The Highlands - restaurants, shops and other stores.

This house is wonderful. Location is great - super close to downtown Highlands but very quiet and serene. You can't walk to downtown because of the mountain roads but that is the case pretty much anywhere in this area, but it's only a 2 minute drive to downtown and the closest grocery store. The house has everything you need and feels cozy and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and there were all the condiments and spices that some other rentals lack. Coffee maker is a Keurig and the pods were provided, but there was also a regular brew option for those that want to make their own pot with other coffee. The patio was a wonderful spot to watch the birds and enjoy the morning coffee or evening wine and conversation.
We had great communication with the owners representative and the whole process was very smooth. The owner appears to have a small dog and there were some evidence of dog hair which didn't bother us at all since we are dog-people but I mention it just in case someone has a severe allergy.

This was such a great house and was perfect for a quick get away to Highlands! Was minutes from downtown and yet you felt tucked away in a quiet beautiful neighborhood that was the perfect setting for comfortable relaxation!
Our contact Janet, was wonderful with communication and very thoughtful. Knew we were arriving late and made sure lights were on to welcome us. We were also welcomed in with a yummy homemade cake! 10/10 would recommend!! :)

Great House!
The house and neighborhood were adorable! The house host/concierge was so communicative and attentive, they even left us a wonderful cake. We would absolutely stay here again!
