Breakfast was really nice. The highlight for us during our stay was the staff, absolutely every member of staff was so kind, thoughtful and a joy to chat to. The ground staff were brilliant in making sure the grounds were always immaculate and seeing the familiar and friendly faces in the restaurant and bar staff really improved our stay dramatically. The spa treatments were also such a massive highlight!! Also, the reception staff made our stay so stress free and free flowing, we can't thank them enough for all their help in accommodating us and taking care of any activities and travel bookings. But most importantly, we're going to miss the ducks.

Not much. Perhaps it would have been good to see some alternative milks offered (almond, cashew, soya and/or oat) Although I realise they may not be readily available in the area. It would also be great if some of the staff had a little more training with regards to different types of coffee's so they were able to offer things such as Iced Coffee, cappuccino etc - the staff would make them and do their best, but it didn't quite feel like they were fully/properly trained in that sense. Zimbabwe is known for producing fantastic coffee, it is shame it's not more of a feature. But we are being VERY VERY picky with that one - otherwise, the stay and the facilities were faultless.

Accommodations were lovely, and is much better in person than photos show. I'm glad I booked a stay at Pioneers.

Pillows smelled a bit musty. The white night light above the bed isn't conducive for falling asleep.

Friendliness especially O'brien was great from the start to the end of our stay. The rest of the staff who attended to us were also great.

One bathroom was missing bath soap.

Friendly welcome and extremely helpful with local knowledge and tips.

Professional and helpful staff, not overly pushy and very in tune with our needs. The staff helped us with problems we’d experienced with our baggage and activity bookings. Beautiful grounds, two pools and super family room dressed tastefully. Dinner was excellent and provision made for children.

The breakfast was nice and they had friendly staff the only problem was with my booking on booking.com the charges on this site are different from the charges at the lodge please fix that
