Great location, right in the middle of Barbate. Reasonable price compared to other options nearby, but also not cheap (to be fair, there was a festival in town, so demand may have been very high). Friendly check-in. Clean place, complimentary coffee was a nice touch.

What really wasn't great was the shower (we had the ground floor apartment) - it drains very slowly, and is separated from the rest of the bathroom only by a curtain that doesn't reach all the way to the floor, so even if you shower kind of carefully, the bathroom will flood. Also, the air-con stopped working properly on our second day. Check-in was very friendly in the end, as I wrote above, but complicated. We kept being asked for updates on our time of arrival - first about 3 days in advance, which is totally fine. Then we were asked to send a text about an hour before we'd get there, then again to provide another update 15 minutes before our arrival (not that easy to time with traffic and the central Barbate parking situation), then eventually we had to call and wait for the person delegated to hand over the keys to show up...I know this isn't a hotel with a reception, but for a >€150/night place, the process was a bit cumbersome.

I liked the apartment/studio. It was efficient and I guess brand new decorated. The host was very kind and helpful.
