Beautiful resort, great shops downstairs and the hotel does awesome meals. Comfy bed, bath was amazing!

When something states full kitchen it should mean it. Really crappy pans, no non stick pans, no steamer, no dish that could be used in the oven, had to go to kmart to buy an oven ware dish to cook our dinner in. Not even paper towel or food wraps. 1 teatowel isn't sufficient for 3 days when you have to use it for getting things out of oven etc aswell as drying and wiping hands on. I know next time to take my camping box! No sink plug would fit the kitchen so painful to wash the dishes as you had to just waste running water. Tv had no reception most of the time. No shower gel provided, a spare set of bathroom towels would have been lovely or just swapped on 2nd day.

location was great at Kingscliff! .. unfortunately room 1227 was advertised as an apartment with a garden view .. turned out as neither! .. very small motel style room with no view!

room 1227 was at the end of a long corridor furtherest from the lift .. it was advertised as an apartment with a garden view but it was a small motel style room with no view & no where to sit to eat a meal .. the fridge couldn’t even fit a wine bottle!

The hotel itself is great. Room was clean. Just very small room. You cannot do much in the room besides sit or lie on the bed. The receptionist dropped us at the hotel because we could not get a cab at the time. Which was very nice of her.

Paying a premium price for a hotel room, just to have to go and pick up the keys from a location that needs a car to get to, was really inconvenient. I could have stayed at the Mantra and paid LESS, and not have had to go out of my way to collect and drop off keys. Especially because I was not driving. But that is my fault because I was lazy and did not shop around i.e check that the Mantra was indeed cheaper or the same price. I was also told that other people paid less and got a much bigger room than what I had. My room was tiny. I think it should say on the booking that you need to collect and drop off keys and that you need a car to do so. Book directly through the hotel and not on booking.com (I thought booking.com was the cheapest but it is actually not as People called the hotel directly and got a better deal)

The resort

The room 1227 was very ordinary advertised as garden view and 742 sq feet lucky to be 300sq ft. Deception at its best. View of restaurant roof and distant parkland. Poky little room no windows sliding door to balcony had no flysceen. No seating in room. Freezer iced up, no drinking glasses. Should be removed off booking.com as way below expectations and not as advertised. Would of asked for money back if could. Resort was good as stayed there before.

Location, beautiful beaches and parklands. Food venders excellent variety

Starting to age a little flooring and walls require refurbishment. Staying on level 2 the people staying on level three where noisy during the night and the sound easily transferred through the flooring material

It was clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed. Great Location everything was right there.

Dishwasher and cooker not working so despite taking good to cook breakfast at least was unable to, letting agents notified straight away. Told someone would be there to put right but nothing! Having paid $220 a night I’m very disappointed! Would appreciate someone sort of compensation?!

Not many redeeming features unfortunately
