Amazing property with the best view for the price. Don't waste your time with other beaches and go to Gaulding Cay Beach. Also, definitely rent a good SUV. The road to the house is not for the feint of heart. There are plenty to look for on Google. Really appreciated the rental app they send you. Best souvenir shop is in Gregory town.

This place is a gem. No matter which direction you look there is a breathtaking view. This place is super secluded and with no one in sight. The access to the ocean is so fun and we saw so many fish, stingray and sharks and had a blast jumping off. Sunset was our favorite hour and I haven’t seen a night sky as beautiful as I did here. The house itself is so cute and has everything you need. Just make sure you have a car that can handle the dirt road and you’re set. You will not regret booking this, it’s the best place over even been to.

I can't say enough about the absolutely stunning 180 degree of the water all the way to the horizon. I could stand at the porch rail for hours just stare out at the clear blue water. The water was nearly always calm and we often saw fish and turtles right from the porch. The whole place was very clean and everything was in very good condition. For island based internet, this was more than fast enough for the whole family to surf the web in the evening or even stream a netflix movie after the sun went down. The pictures shown online are very accurate we really enjoyed our stay. Let's take a moment to talk about the steps that lead down to the water. They are fairly steep and the jump from the last platform into the water was a lot of fun. But be aware, when we were there, there was a significant amount of shark activity. When we first got there, my wife took a video of my daughter and I jumping into the water. See the video on tiktok under user account nikkiped5. ( sorry, VRBO doesn't allow direct links in comments. ) You can see in the video she nearly jumped on the shark! We were not aware of the shark until later when we were reviewing the video. Standing on the top of the stairs you can see turtles, sting rays and one of the two sharks cruise by at least once in 10-15 minutes. The water was awesome and very frequently as calm as a swimming pool, and if it wasn't for the sharks, there was great snorkeling as well. If you're adventurous and don't mind swimming with wild sharks, this is awesome. Some people spend a lot of money to swim with sharks, and here they are included! For us, we stayed out of the water after our SECOND shark encounter, after foolishly thinking that the jump was just a one in a million chance thing. Nope, these sharks live there and cruise the cliff all day. Enjoy!

We bought some sterno cans for bug repellant and left two at the house. We would light them and sit them beside us outside and the bugs wouldn’t bother us. That’s our number 1 tip! Our other tip is if you have specific dietary needs to bring the food you need. It’s very hard to find on the island. Spanish Wells had a really nice grocery store:

The instructions to where the key is are in them and we were stuck for quite a while - about 2 hours with no cell service and unable to reach anyone and no way in. The information was not in the app, I do believe it was just a glitch. But just to be safe download it before you land in the Bahamas. :)

Caretaker told us that the towels in the bathroom were also beach towels and he said he’d check on mom working ceiling fans in the main room but never did. Still we had an enjoyable trip. Not sure if we’d do it again but it was a fun experience

AMAZING!!! Pictures do not do it any justice. One of our most amazing vacations we have ever had. Not just the house but the entire island. It completely changes how you see yourself. The island name of Eleuthera means Freedom and i can't think of a more perfect word to describe our visit there :)

This is the perfect house to get away from the hustle and bustle of work. The sunsets were incredible, the steps leading down into the ocean were so cool and unique. It was amazing starting each day off with a long swim. We will be back!

The house was incredibly clean and all amenities worked perfectly. The morning views were inspiring and the sunsets from the porch above the cliff were breathtaking. Swimming in the blue waters of the Caribbean was out of a magazine including a dramatic cliffside entrance. The water itself was rich with fish of all kinds, and there is a gorgeous reef close by that is perfect for snorkelling. We also saw a sea turtle and a ray from the porch! We brought a SUP which gave us access to the many bays and caves that dot the shoreline here. Surfers beach is about a 10minute walk away. We rented boards and took surf lessons from Tom at Surfers Haven. It was very fun and pretty low-key. When not in the water, Gregory Town, Hatchet Bay and Governor's Harbour all had great food! The rental team was super easy to communicate with and very helpful in providing information. We tried several of the restaurants they recommended it they were amazing. The house really is stunning, well decorated and super clean. Honestly I think this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in.

Many thanks to Ellett for sharing his beautiful home with us. We were supposed to visit in May 2020 but COVID changed our plans. Ellett was great to work with, providing a refund back then, which made us want to rebook his beautiful home. We are so glad we did. This home is extremely private! We didn't see another human anywhere near the home all week. Other than a bit of a rough road to get in it was perfect (but that's part of the charm, and all roads on Eleuthera are rough). The home had everything we needed for a "do it yourself" vacation. We ate in virtually every meal, except great pizza from Rainbow Inn one day and lunch at Tippy's when we went to French Leave Beach. Great wi-fi to keep in touch with the outside world if you choose to. Cecil, who takes care of the house, was also great to work with on the one minor issue we experienced and was there in less than 10 minutes. If we had realized they had such great snorkeling gear we would have left ours own at home. Excellent beach chairs as well. If we could do it over we wouldn't do late July, but we wanted to rebook once the restrictions were relaxed. It was very hot and humid, lots of insects, and the prevailing winds made the water pretty rough each day. We weren't able to use the diving platform like we would have liked, although one evening finally calmed and we saw several turtles just to the left. Our favorite parts were the privacy, the very dark skies for viewing stars (saw the Milky Way with naked eyes), and the proximity to everything in the northern half of the island. Favorite beaches were Ben Bay (although lots of boats came in), Tay Bay (pretty private little cove on far east end), French Leave (probably our favorite of the week), and Ten Bay, which we went to twice. Amazing shallow water for 100 yards. Perfect for kids. Palm Bluff provided the perfect getaway we needed to get away from people and COVID. So glad we chose this as our home base. From its private perch on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea, to the quality of construction and sleek, clean interior appointments, this property exceeded our expectations. We saw enough of the island to realize our luck in having stumbled upon so unique a vacation home with our very first visit to Eleuthera. Ellett's thoughtful and thorough guidance in helping us navigate the logistics of our vacation was in the best tradition of customer first. Like the sea turtles we watched all week surface for air and the warmth of the sun, we leave this sliver of paradise refreshed, relaxed, ready to dive back into our busy lives.

Palm Bluff is an immaculately designed and maintained home with a view that is tough to describe accurately in a vrbo post. Breathtaking is the only word that comes close. Ellett was incredibly helpful and quick to respond before and during the stay. It was tough to leave.
