We stayed in this lovely log cabin when we traveled to Lake City to climb Handies Peak. We absolutely loved staying in Bennet Cabin. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the well appointed kitchen and enjoyed the family centered common areas. The location was perfect. We walked into town for dinner and light shopping. We loved being located right on the river. We would love to come stay again!

Great, well equipped 3 bedroom cabin in perfect location. Enjoy the alpine loop, hikes, deer lake, and many other sites. We’ve stayed here numerous times and will be back. Special place.

This property was everything we could have asked for and more! So much room to spread out. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could imagine you would need to prepare meals. There were seven of us and there was plenty of plates and silverware to go around. The views this home has is incredible. We loved sitting out back by the river enjoying our morning coffee. My family has stayed at this cabin 3 times. A lovely, quiet, comfortable and convenient cabin. Spacious kitchen, close to downtown and backs to the river! A piece of paradise.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and our time spent in the back yard out by the river. It was so peaceful and relaxing. A moose came down the street! Also several deer came by to visit and crossed the bridge instead of the river. We got a kick out of that. We loved the town of Lake City. We did a lot of ATV riding while we were there. It is a beautiful area! We will definitely be returning. Our only complaint is we wish we could have stayed longer!

Very Nice property, Well supplied kitchen, lots of room in the house with location right on the river. Would definitely stay here again. only thing we run into is a small hot water heater in house for 8 people. With a little bit of managing it still worked well.

We had such a great family vacation at this beautiful home. Lots of room for our large family & super comfortable! Everything you could possibly need is readily available. The views are amazing, access to town is superb, & the deer come right to the back porch. Campfire & gazebo by the river are great for s'mores or a glass of wine. Tannah was fabulous about getting us into the house after hours. We will be back for sure. Thank you letting us enjoy this fabulous home!

This cabin was perfect for us - three couples plus a grandson - spacious, clean, functional, and roomy!

This is a fantastic cabin. It has three bedrooms on the river a short couple minute walk from the shops and restaurants of Lake City. We watched numerous deer in the back yard every day. It you want to eat in, you have everything you could ever need to cook your food. Lots of games, and cable tv. This place has it all. You won’t be disappointed. Great people to work with all around.

My family has been coming to Lake City since 1981 and we’ve stayed in probably 12 different properties over the course of those years—and this was BY FAR our favorite. It’s a quick and non-challenging walk to all parts of Lake City. We loved having the river in our back yard (and the back porch was heavenly!) Inside, we very comfortably slept my husband and me, my parents, and five teenagers. Never once did we feel like we were on top of each other or crowded—we probably could’ve squeezed in one or two more people. The kitchen is well appointed, appliances are great—it definitely felt like we were in someone’s much-loved home, not a vacation rental. We’d come back and stay here again in a heartbeat. (One recommendation: If you stay here—and you definitely should—bring a fan for every bedroom or ask for some at the property management office if you come in the summer. Even with windows open the upstairs was quite warm in the evening, especially in the loft.) One of our best vacations ever!

We had 9 people staying in the beautiful home, it was perfect! Plenty of room for everyone and everything we needed was in the home. Joslyn, the owner, was very accommodating, helpful and eager to answer any questions we had. This was our first experience with Home Away and VRBO and we were very pleased! Seven of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this 'cabin.' We were very comfortable -- we could have easily handled a larger group. The cabin is fully equipped, beyond what is normally found in a VRBO. The artwork, new landscaping and nearby river just added to the ambiance of this very delightful venue. We enjoyed the shops, restaurants and slower, comfortable pace of life in Lake City!

This log cabin property in Lake City, Colorado was absolutely lovely... perfect. It surpassed all of our expectations and at a reasonable price. We will definitely try to stay there whenever we go to Lake City!
