Very clean and neat home with a 4 minute golf cart ride to the beach. It's located in a very quiet neighborhood from which you can hear the ocean. Short drive to Southport with restaurants and shops.

We loved the warm welcome of sheets on the beds, fresh towels, and cool air. The kids loved the games and the use of the golf cart made our stay extra perfect, not to mention the well equipped kitchen and big TV

Slowin' Dune was a perfect spot. It's in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the beach. Having the golf cart was extremely convenient to travel to the beach each day. The house was well equipped and comfortable. We would stay again.

This property is lovely. It's clean, well-appointed, comfortable, and has all the comforts of home. We loved the ability to use the bikes and golf cart to get back and forth from the beach. Since we had less-than-ideal weather when we traveled, we really enjoyed all the puzzles and games, and the smart TV came in especially handy too. You'd never know this property was pet-friendly. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Slow in’ Dune is a hidden gem nestled in a small quiet community. Within walking distance to the beach this home is comfortable and well appointed.

First, let me state we would definitely stay here again. Overall, the location and the house worked well for us. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood and is close to the beach access. Is it perfect? No, but close enough.
Pros: The layout of this home is perfect. Large open kitchen, dining, and living room. Bedrooms are separated by location and/or shared bathroom. Super roomy showers with plenty of water pressure and hot water (instant water heater). It's decorated for the beach, but done in a tasteful, understated manner. There isn't a lot of “stuff” sitting everywhere. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and all types of dishes. Many small appliances as well (toaster, kitchen aid mixer, Ninja blender, Kureg, regular drip coffee pot, and a bullet blender). Gas stove with vented microwave over it, roomy fridge, and dishwasher.
Plenty of game choices including board games, cards, and some yard games. We brought our own beach chairs, but found plenty in the little garage area. The golf cart was perfect way to haul everything to the beach. The bicycles there were too tall for my wife to ride.
Cons: The king sized bed in the master bedroom is absolutely the worse bed ever. It is overly soft and lumpy. We wound up moving to the queen bed just to get some sleep. The furniture in the living room is dirty and also not comfortable. The home and the whole area is pet friendly, but the rugs in the home cause me to pause. I am not sure they have ever been cleaned and our dogs would smell spots on them before moving on to another part of the room.
As I said, overall the home works and we would stay here again.

The location and decor was perfect. We were visiting from Michigan and were able to use the golf cart to visit our grandchildren who live in the neighborhood. Everything we needed was provided. Would certainly stay here again.

Loved our stay in this beautiful, light, clean home with an open floor plan in the living room/kitchen/dining area. Comes with a golf cart for easy beach parking, a well-stocked kitchen, an outdoor shower, seating on the upstairs porch and a second outdoor area under the house. Nice neighborhood for walks. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Special memories with our family!

Very nice, clean place full of amenities. Just wish we could have had access to the pool after a day on the beach. Golf cart was very convenient to haul everything to the beach each day.

A perfect 10/10 as my granddaughter would say, 9/10 for beds! The master bedroom bed is broken. We read about it online and expected it to be fixed prior to our stay…sadly it was not. 7 days of poor sleeping!

If you don’t want to have to drive a little to enjoy great food or if you love the hustle and bustle of Myrtle, don’t come here to Caswell. But if your idea of an ideal vacation is a quiet neighborhood with a manageable walk to a beach where you may see twenty people, this is heaven!!! Beautiful home. Lovely neighborhood. Great, friendly full-timers. The best!

Loved staying here it’s a quiet environment the beach is 5 minutes away where we stayed at. I didn’t give it 5 stars because the tv outside was already broken when we got there. There wasn’t any toilet paper there which I thought they serviced since they had everything else there. Also the golf cart’s front tires were bald we had to put the spare on, they had the tools for it so we went ahead and changed one of the tires. Other than that the house was a great stay we enjoyed staying there we loved every minute of it! Thank you!

I would come back again

Our family of four all agree that Slowin’ Dune is our new favorite beach getaway!
We usually stay on the beach and so were a bit nervous at this location being across the street, but having the golf cart (2-min drive to beach) made everything so easy!
The beach is secluded as only golf carts can park at beach entrance. Bonus!
The home itself was the cleanest, nicest home we have stayed in (and we stay in Oak Island a dozen times as it’s our favorite beach!) I’m picky so that is saying a lot.
I know when reading reviews lots always say they will return, but we truly mean it.
The decor and furniture were all perfect, not overly done and most certainly comfortable.
The only issue we had was that the master bed was too soft for our 40-year-old backs. We quickly switched to the third bedroom and all was well.
Kids enjoyed the ring toss game outside, board games, video games and bunk beds!
If you are narrowing down your search, do not think any further. Slowin’ Dune is a must!

Nice, clean house - spacious, nicely decorated and the use of a golf cart. The house was within walking distance, through a nice, quiet golf course neighborhood, to the beach. We've already booked it for another trip.

This rental was terrific and being able to jump into the golf cart to the beach was a breeze. Only issue we ran into was there were a few cockroaches and hornets in the house that we had to kill. Other than that is was an enjoyable stay.

This house was absolutely gorgeous. Great kitchen! Everything was perfect for my group except that the third bedroom was not really suitable for 2 adults. The double bed and bunk were too short.

Two adults + two kids + beach gear was a tight squeeze but it worked seamlessly. The area under the house is open and clean and comfortable. Outdoor shower is new and clean and perfect for washing off after the beach. There’s also a separate hose for sandy feet. The beach itself was wide and open, not crowded, beautiful. The house is clean and functional and as described. Nicely decorated with a beach theme that isn’t over the top or cluttered but still feels beachy. Kitchen is very well stocked. Bathrooms are nice, beds are comfortable. The master bedroom has no window coverings, so we were woken early every day by the sun. Kids rooms have shades.
