Upon initial arrival, the cabin looked clean. However, we noticed very shortly into our stay ( night of check-in) that the cabin is in need of a deep cleaning. There is a bug problem, specifically , roaches. We were constantly killing roaches- disgusting. Another huge problem that we discovered at 2 am on our first night, was that there are mice or some sort of animals running behind the walls on the upper floor. I could not sleep upstairs at all because of nocturnal animals running around behind the walls and squeaking. This was the worst stay I have ever had in a cabin. We decided as a family to leave early.

The house itself is in a great location and is a lovely house set in the woods, but it needs a very good cleaning and pest control! I would rent it again if it were thoroughly cleaned and the small roaches were eliminated.

Great place and very spacious. Beds are comfortable. Lots of room for the 6 of us and the 2 dogs. Would recommend it again! Only thing is that we saw quite a bit of cockroaches. I would also recommend more lighting off the back porch as it got super dark! Other than that, great time!

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the cabin. The beds were comfy, the decor was adorable, hot tub and fire pit were a great touch. Loved the balcony off of the king suite. We enjoyed making dinner and breakfast together, playing board games and being only a few minutes from town. There was enough parking for 3 vehicles and the road & driveway was easy to access.

No "Master Bath" on any bedroom. Hot tub had missing nozzles and 1 of the 2 jets did not work. We looked specifically for a private location with a Hot Tub, but the Hot Tub was unusable. Disappointing!!
At check-in had sand on the dining room table and downstairs floors. We cleaned it up and it was fine. Had ant and roach issues, but the house is in the woods, so we kept everything clean and food in the refrigerator, and it was okay.
Overall a very pleasant stay.

Upon arrival the initial code to entertain he cabin did not work. It was difficult to call to get someone to help because there is no cell service and the internet was not working (code was provided in email). Once I was able to get somebody on the phone, access to the inside of cabin was fairly simple.
We attempted to call again to check on internet and was told a local team member would reach out. We have yet to hear from a local team member and have reached out multiple times. At this point we have checked out from the cabin.

The property was very clean and had easy access for my elderly mother. The hot tub was big enough for my husband and I with our two teenagers. And the water was well maintained. The house was located in a quiet area, but just a few minutes drive from the locations we visited. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Helen.

The property is in the perfect location. Close to Unicoi SP, Anna Ruby Falls, and Helen. Every activity we did was a short drive from the cabin. My family was so comfortable during our stay. Perfect secluded cabin. The outdoor area was perfect for a fire during the cool nights. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone. Clean, no bugs, no weird smells, fun board games. Great times, can’t wait to come back!

The Cabin is in a great location however we showed up to find dirty sheets in the master bed room and the floors had not been cleaned. The 2nd day we were there we killed at least 5 hornets or some sort of wasp in the hallway near the upstairs bedrooms. After 3 straight days of rain the roof in the dining room started to leak. The Cabin definitely needs some repairs.

My family loved this cabin. It was so clean, not dusty and “bug-y” like some other cabins I’ve stayed in. The rooms and layout accommodated us quite well. I loved playing the board games that were there and my husband read one or two of the books. It would’ve been nice to have some hooks near the front door for hanging coats, or purses. There is also no curtain on the front door which had a big window on it, so we just hung a towel over it. All the Roku TV’s were a plus. The internet signal was strong, perfect for remote working. The fireplace and hot tub were wonderful!

The cabin lay out and comfort level was wonderful. Comfy beds and pillows were a big bonus. I was glad not to have high balconies on the common level since we have little ones and the screened in porch is a nice touch. However, there were several random bugs throughout the cabin so maybe increase pest control? And there was a good bit of pet hair on the furniture, rug, and bedding. The sheets were clean thankfully but I didn't want to use the comforter because I am allergic to cats and my allergies were a mess.

I have a son with severe autism so hotels and strange places don't really suit his comfort level. The cabin was great! He was able to relax and enjoy himself. The decorations were adorable. I really enjoyed the fire pit. It was great for our family

We went to Helen to celebrate our son’s 50th birthday. The cabin is secluded so that you are not bothered by others around you. Fire pit is perfect and the cabin is adequately furnished. We did not need to bring anything and the check in and out was the easiest I have ever encountered. Highly recommend this location.

The cabin wasn’t very clean. You couldn’t do anything in the downstairs bathroom or kitchen, dinning room. Without ants terrorizing you! They were literally crawling in cabinets, drawers everywhere! Dishes were old and very worn! Stove needs to be replaced very old and broiler didn’t work! Found a jacket between the foot rail of the bed and the bedspread!! Wasn’t ours so I guess that bed wasn’t stripped and clean bedding put on it. Behind all doors hadn’t been swept and mopped in awhile. The blinds hadn’t been dusted in probably a year!! We went and got some Clorox wipes to clean bathrooms and counters. Washing powders to wash the sheets before we slept. Ran the dishes in the dishwasher before we used them the drawers needed to be cleaned and the ants were everywhere!! I won’t be renting there again!!

We had a great time. Perfect location. If I had to say anything to change. It would have been nice if the queen bed was down and the two twins upstairs. We did not have fuel in the grill Vacasa responded immediately. We went out and by the time we returned it was full!

I lost my wife in August last year so this was kind of a memorial trip for her because she and I loved coming up here so much. The cabin was excellent and very clean. It is furnished excellently. This was as good a trip experience as I have ever had. The only drawback was having to leave. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

This cabin was wonderful! It is well equipped and comfortable. Quiet and restful. Its proximity to Helen made it a perfect place to stay for Thanksgiving week and allowed us to enjoy all the festivities the town had to offer.

This was our second stay in this cabin as a group of friends. The fireplace was a huge hit this time, and we hiked a different trail every day with some many to choose from close to this home. It is clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. Can't wait to return!
