Our family had a lovely stay in the beautiful mountains of NC. Host was very nice, leaving us a cake and beautiful flowers. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Young ones loved the bunk beds and air hockey. For all the rooms and beds it had, it was still a bit snug; going in the front door it was necessary to step around the door to get up the steps. Beautiful porches front and back.

This is our family’s second time to stay here. We have looked at many properties in the area and I can say, as an interior designer, I appreciate the openness to layout. Our family was able to comfortably all gather in the living, kitchen and back porch. I love hardwood floors, and all of the bathrooms are magazine quality. Cleanliness is at the top of my priority’s and why we came back here. I am highly allergic to dusty or stagnant cottages and so this clean mountain chic cottage, is it for us! I would recommend walking to downtown to Four65 Woodfire Bistro + Bar for the best chicken Caesar salad I’ve ever had and wood fired pizzas.

My children and I come to highlands every year for a girls trip. Very comfortable and spacious home, great location close to downtown and Janet the property manager is awesome! Great communication and care with her guest.

We had such a wonderful time at this property in Highlands! We were so impressed by how comfortable we all were. There is plenty of space for kids to have fun downstairs while adults can enjoy a relaxing time on the covered porch! We cooked several meals and were very impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was. This truly felt like a home away from home! You won’t regret spending time here!

We enjoyed staying in this recently remodeled home. It is in a great location within comfortable walking distance both to town and to the Highlands Nature Center. We appreciated Janet reaching out to us before and during our stay and leaving us beautiful roses and a delicious cake to welcome us upon our arrival. Thank you for your hospitality.

In general was OK , but it’s NOT 5 minutes walk to the city - more like 15. Of the 3 main bedrooms only 1 had a box spring mattress, the other 2 were straw or seemed like. The only toilet /shower for 2 of the 3 rooms had a barn door with a latch that did not seal or close properly. The upgrade seemed badly designed?

The house was perfect for our family. Kids had a blast in the downstairs area and really enjoyed the bunk beds! The location was great. Close to town but still quiet and peaceful. The property manager, Janet, was very helpful and even brought some beautiful flowers when we arrived.

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay! It was roomy yet cozy - we loved hanging out by the fire in the living room. And since we we’re celebrating our milestone birthdays, Janet the Concierge baked us a delicious cake and had roses waiting for us. A+ experience all around!

This home is both adorable and functional. The ability to walk to town was fabulous and there was plenty of space (and bathrooms!) for our group of girls. Janet, the property manager, was so thoughtful and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again!

The house has recently been renovated. The bathrooms are beautiful. Kitchen is nice. Everything was clean. We arrived and were greeted by fresh flowers and a cake! Walked to Main Street every day. Everything was great.

It's private but also VERY close to downtown by foot or by car which made getting to activities very easy. Communication with the rental manager was immediate and easy! Janet checked in with us to make sure we always had what we needed and accommodated us to make our stay even better. Everything was new and clean and very comfortable. I'd absolutely stay here again if I came back to the area! Highly recommend it.

Wonderful property!
We had a long family weekend and the property was wonderful. Convenient to downtown Highlands, updated, and clean! Janet the concierge was very easy to work with and even had a cake and flowers in the kitchen upon our arrival (we were celebrating a birthday)! Would stay here again!

My family and I stayed for 3 nights and everything from making the reservation until we left was superb. The home was comfortable for all 8 of us and it had the cozy feeling of being at home for the holidays. When we come back to Highlands, this is where we will stay!

We all had so much fun and loved getting to sit together all in one area which is sometimes hard with a family our size. A walk to town is perfect if you need some kind of exercise - it’s about a 20 minute walk. Couldn’t have found a more perfect place. This property was exactly like the pictures and even more perfect and beautiful if possible.
