The house worked just fine. The kitchen is a bit tight but there is plenty of seating in other areas of the house. The rooms are comfortable but the “bunkhouse”, where the five single beds are, doesn’t have adequate air conditioning. Very warm. The linen and towel package was overpriced, and more importantly, terrible quality. The towels were scratchy! In this season mosquitoes are bad but since the town hasn’t sprayed the bugs we’re even more of a nuisance. For the comfort of our guests it would be best to fog/fumigate the property before arrival. Overall good rental.

We had an amazing time on Chincoteague and Asateague Islands. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing. Our grandchildren learned how to crab and clam-there Great Aunt was born and raised on Chincoteague and now owns a second home there. Wonderful time was had by all including 5 trips to Island Creamery

We were so pleased with the Virginian! It had everything we needed for a great week. First of all -- SPOTLESSLY clean! Shout out to cleaning people! The house had everything -- beautiful, quiet location, ample space for the family, nicely furnished, well-supplied with kitchenware. Lots of space for all of our beach gear. Thanks for a great place. We'll be back!

Our family really enjoyed our weeks stay at the Virginian! The house was very nice and great location to explore the island because this was many of our party’s first time here! Got to see many ponies and the bald eagles and other birds. Enjoyed the extra refrigerator and the garage for staging all our bikes, chairs, and gear from a large group. Thanks for a well kept house that made an enjoyable vacation! Hope to come back again.

There were plenty of kitchen supplies, plates, flatware, pots and pans and glasses. The air conditioning worked great. The neighborhood was quiet and well maintained. The second fridge in the garage was a gift. Our only negative, it really wasn't a waterfront property. The approx 10 feet of narrow canal that was too shallow for crab traps and no crab.

Reviewer Comments: Very roomy house with a too small kitchen in my opinion, but that may only be a problem for me because we love to cook as a 'team' and found that was not possible in the space allotted for food prep. There was really no pantry space to store food, which we found a bit odd. I think the upstairs central bathroom is nice (and bigger than the kitchen). The beds were comfortable though and the outside shower is a plus for coming off the beach. Alas, there was no real access to drop our kayaks into the canal for a paddle out to Oyster Bay. Although the house description says Waterfront, the access to the canal is limited to dropping a crab trap. It's a great place if you have a large family and you don't plan to cook much lol.

We love The Virginia for So many reasons but primarily for the space and comfort of all Family members

This is our 3rd year staying at the Virginian. Once again we were not disappointed. The house is lovely and we noted some updates which made it even more comfortable. We have been coming to the island for 10 yrs. now and we so enjoy our time here. Our family has grown since we first started coming and we now have 10 - 14 depending who is able to make it. This year we had 10 of us. Highlights are the beach, riding bike with the grandkids, the good food, ice cream, donuts, playing mini golf and we enjoy renting scooters for a day and running around the island. We enjoy talking to those who live here and learning new things about different places here. We love the overall feel of the island. The staff at Chincoteague Realty have always been very courteous and helpful and quick to respond to emails and questions. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
