The views at the cottage are amazing. We were pleasantly surprised to find baby gates on each set of stairs which were going to be a worry for our small son. We did have a few things come up which we were not able to address in a timely manner as they were on Thanksgiving day when the offices are closed. The dishes in the cabinets and silverware were not very clean and we had to run a load of dishes to have clean dishes. While there was a smoke alarm in the bedroom upstairs there were two others up there in the ceilings that were gone. The upstairs tv code did not work which on the day of checkout they unplugged it and got it working. On the day of checkout we went to do laundry and the dryer did not work. We had to take home a bag of clean but wet clothes. We called the office and they offered a late checkout and mentioned we did not call them sooner. It was thanksgiving and they were not open and none of these were emergencies to call the emergency number so I did not feel they warranted calling on Thanksgiving day using the emergency number.

Kate’s Cottage is a beautiful townhome located on the main part of the lake. It’s very close to shopping, restaurants and activities. The community is very well taken care of, clean and quiet. The unit had plenty of room and a great view of the lake. Kitchen had everything we needed and had a huge fridge. The beds were very comfortable and the living room couches were large and comfy. The walk to the dock was no big deal, for me, it was about 110 steps from the patio to the dock. We absolutely LOVED the lazy days swimming and jumping off the dock and floating on our floats. Our son took advantage of the kayaks and went all around the area. The ice cream boat comes around daily between 2-2:30, that was such a unique and cool experience! We never heard our neighbors and parking was perfect - 2 spots plus the overflow was right next to our spots which was great. I am very picky about rentals and I absolutely loved this unit. We plan on renting again next month. The team that manages it were very friendly with great communication. Overall 10/10!

It was very relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and cheerfully decorated. There were enough dishes and things, and the lake view was wonderful. There were a couple small wrinkles in our stay, but property management was very responsive and quickly dealt with both of them. If we're back in this area, we'd definitely consider this house again.

The pros: the property itself was clean, comfortable and close to the lake. It had a nice layout, although it does only have 2 bedrooms, not 3 like the posting mentions. Having the 2 kayaks to use was also a huge bonus. The outdoor deck provides spectacular views of the sunrise over the lake. Cons: the check in process was made difficult by receiving the incorrect lock box information from the rental company due to misinformation from the owner - this was frustrating, but could have been much worse if we had not been able to get in. You have to supply all of your own sheets, towels, paper products and toiletries. This rental is missing some of the touches you might typically find with a rental from the owner themselves. Also you are expected to empty all of your trash to an offsite dump, which was incredibly inconvenient for traveling purposes. If the check in/check out process was smoother, this rental would be absolutely amazing.
