great location. interior could use a little TLC..

The overall condo needs updating and you can tell that everything was fixed on the inside very cheaply to the point to where it stood out and did not look good. We paid around $430 a night for 7 nights and it just did not feel any bit of that. It was not upscale for what we paid.
But the most important part was that the condo was not clean. All of the countertops and surfaces were poorly wiped and still had dirt and residue.
All of the air vents were dirty, dusty, and had not been cleaned in a long time. The bathtub in the hallway had a pink ring around the tub and the shower curtain had black scum and buildup on it. The bathroom off the master bedroom was not as bad, but the shower curtain had black residue on it also. The bathroom handrail, sink, and fixtures were poorly renovated and looked uninviting.
Our family was really disappointed with the condo and expected more for the amount of money we paid per night. The owner Alice is a great communicator and we have expressed our complaints to her and she had been nothing but helpful and pleasant! But she has not responded to my last message after she offered a partial refund, so I was a bit surprised and disappointed that she didn’t respond back after a weeks time.

The Piet and the pool

The condo is poorly maintained with stained couches, chairs and carpet, filthy air vents, duct taped flooring on stairs to loft, and low quality furnishings. Within 30 minutes of arrival we noticed that the bottom of children’s feet were very dirty from floor, so we bought cleaning supplies to mop the tile floors. We also purchased blankets to cover the dirty furniture.
We liked that the condo sleeps a good number of people (we had 8) but the limited inside seating made it difficult for everyone to comfortably hang out in the main living area together.
While this is outside of the control of the owners, I wish I had know beforehand that the nearest beach access is closed due to erosion issues. Note: there is access within walking distance to the left of the pier, but not as close as we had expected.
Overall we enjoyed time with family and made the best of the accommodations, but would not recommend it to others or stay again.

Will be booking again for years to come. The host were so informative and welcoming. Only 50 feet from the beach. Plently of room for the whole family. Very relaxing atmosphere. Our favorite activity was sitting out on the balcony reading a book in the early sunrise listening to the oceans gentle roar. There are no amout of words to accurately describe how much joy this property brought to all of our souls.

We enjoyed our Spring Break vacation with our daughter, her friend, and our Boston Terrier furbabies. The condo is very nice, roomy, and comfortable. The beach access is right across the street to the beautiful “private island” beach. The host responds very quickly to messages and was wonderful to work with. We hope to visit Carolina Beach again in the future!

We had some issues with this rental, but there were nice things about staying here too.
The best part of staying at this condo was the location. If you love to be able to roll right out onto the beach with minimal hassle, the place is great. Your crew can go from the beach to the pool to the Tiki Bar next door for an excellent cheeseburger, all within a two minute walk.
The condo is also well laid out for a family stay.
However, there were significant drawbacks as well. The place was not clean when we arrived, and it is older and needs updating. We were supplied with two very small, thin beach towels for a family of four, and two camp chairs. The linens for bathing supplies were also minimal- I spent the week laundering wet bath towels (also clearly the smallest, thinnest, cheapest bath towels they could find) and sandy beach towels way too frequently because they were not abundant enough. To be fair, the owners tried to order us two more beach towels, but by mid week they had not arrived and we were sick of dealing with it so we dropped the matter.
The master bedroom popcorn ceiling is covered with a filthy brown dust, I shuddered to think what was on there- I didn’t turn on the ceiling fan all week because I didn’t want that dirt raining down on our bed!
I like comfort and luxury, so this was not a good fit for me- however my husband is much more flexible and easygoing, and even he was very disappointed with the value we received for our money.
If you love being next to the beach and don’t particularly care about how nice the interior is, this is the place for you!

We had a wonderful time at this property. We came on Memorial Day weekend. I was surprised we were able to get a guest parking spot without much issue. This unit is so close to the beach access and the pool was great. My kids loved splitting the day between the pool and the beach. The stairs to the 4th floor were rough, but it did provide a nice view of the sunset from the bedroom porch. The picnic table on the living room porch was a wonderful place to have family dinners. The unit was clean and well appointed. I appreciated that it had both glass/ceramic dishes and plastic dishes (great for kids). Overall I would definitely recommend this host and unit!

The property was well kitted out, clean and the porches added much appreciated outside space. In addition it's a two minute walk to the beach, so no need to move your car or haul all your stuff for the entire day to the beach. ALice was a joy to deal with - will definitely be returning.

My family enjoyed our stay over Easter weekend! The condo has everything you need for a relaxing stay at the beach. Communication with the owners was very good.

Affordable and Quiet
Spent two nights in this condo in north Carolina Beach. Very nice and affordable for a large family on a budget. Short walk to Freeman Park, an undeveloped area. We usually stay in south Carolina Beach and this area was much quieter. Approximately 5 minutes from restaurants and stores. Highly recommended!
