Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed 4 nights at Serenity Lodge over New Years with 3 other adults and it was a wonderful home. The house is well laid out with plenty of space to relax, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. House was very clean and the property manager was extremely friendly and lives close by if you need her (we did not). It is a great location to go into chimney rock as well as other surrounding areas. The view of the lake is beautiful and the outdoor fireplace for a mild winter evening was so fun and relaxing (the indoor fireplace was great as well) . I would highly recommend this home, we will have to come back in the summer time and explore the lake a little more.

Open floor plan with great space to watch football games, do puzzles and enjoy each other around the fireplace. We hung out on the boathouse roof deck and the stone paved patio with a great fireplace. This is the best equipped VRBO property we have ever experienced. The property manager was very responsive and stopped by for one small issue very promptly. Can’t recommend this home enough.

The house was in a great location and very comfortable. It had a nice dock and boathouse although like most houses on the lake there are a bunch of stairs to get down to the lake. The house was very clean and well maintained and we loved sitting on the deck. The property manager was very friendly and helpful (we ran into her walking). Recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful and comfortable with spectacular views of the lake surrounded by woods. The water is clean, warm and inviting. We spent the days tubing and evenings by the fire. There are so many usable outdoor spaces that we could stay dry and enjoy the fire even during a thunderstorm. Highly recommend!! This is a true find.

We had a great week. We love Lake Lure and the house was perfect for our needs. We spent a ton of time outside on the dock and patio. It was a great family vacation.

First time using VRBO to book accommodations. Though we expected what we read on the place, there were things that should have been disclosed. First, the place DID have WiFi but it was not working when we arrived AND there is no cell connectivity in the area. And by this I mean No Service. No bars. No nothing. We brought our MiFi but with no cell service we couldn’t connect. And because we had no cell service we couldn’t call the management company to ask if there was anything more we can try in resetting the house’s WiFi system which we tried many times in the hopes it would reset itself. We were able to call when we left the area to go to the grocery store. The management company was very responsive once were able to talk to them. The Service Provider had to physically come to the house to reset the system. We were 3 days into our trip by this time. Second the fireplace. As with the WiFi, it did not work. We read the instructions in the handbook that was left to us but didn’t fire-up. We assumed it was because it was out of gas. Would have been nice for the kids to experience a fireplace since we live in Florida. Third, there was construction being done at the place. It would have been nice to have gotten a Heads Up about it. There was construction dust all over the outdoor chairs and table. No one bothered to wipe them down prior to our arrival and the chairs on the upper deck weren’t even put back in their place. They were clumped together in the corner of the deck. The downstairs patio was an even bigger mess. Part of their construction was to expand the patio area. I found a nail on the walkway and a portion of the railing was removed from one of the steeper sections of the backyard leading to their boathouse. There was no rope/tape or anything. The removed fence was leaning on another fence that was still intact. There was stone rubble piled on the side of the patio that was not yet finished and a wheelbarrow was up against the deck stilt. They had a fire pit which was left on the side of the construction mess on the grass and was not visible. We weren’t even sure if we were allowed to use it. The place could have been a bit safer and a bit more care to clean the furniture of the dust, put the fire pit back in place and put rope/tape or some sort of barrier where the fencing had been removed. Inside it was nicely appointed. I found a few cobwebs, one on the dining room window. It made you wonder how clean is the place.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time. Right on the water with a canoe for us to use! Plenty of space for everyone and very comfortable. We would love to come back here again.

Serenity to it’s finest! We absolutely loved our stay! The kids enjoyed fishing, paddle boarding, swimming, and playing ping pong. Great outdoor movie night with a nice fire and s’mores… yoga on the boat house deck, and just a quick drive into town. We paddled to the beach which took about An hour on the water i between jumping in, exploring, and playing. A great quiet peaceful location without a lot of boat traffic…. Sweet cove that we will surely come back to again and again!!!

Great property, SUPER clean. We couldn't have been happier. We've stayed in a number of houses in Lake Lure and this ranks at the top. Easy access, no scary roads, flat driveway, great house, love the porches, awesome lake access. Good internet. We will be back!

Wonderful weekend spent looking at the lake and cozy by the fire. Well maintained comfortable house. Enjoyed the ping pong table too!

This beautiful lakefront home Is immaculately clean, with a big stone fireplace in the spacious living room, and has beautiful home decor, dishes and linens. Just a few minutes drive to town and chimney rock. We really enjoyed taking the canoe out on the lake and sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch looking out over the water.

Serenity Lodge was a delightful home right on Lake Lure. The property manager was super responsive to the few questions we had. Would definitely recommend.
