The view is so calming - I really enjoyed looking out at the lake. And only takes a few minutes to walk to it. We made use of the full-sized kitchen and the large dining table. Beds were comfy. It was nice for the kids to each have their own room. It was chilly out but the home had plenty of heat. Great location. Consider adding one soft chair to the living room. The couch is great though. Will return.

The owners went to a great effort to have everything one would need at this place. Lots of games, kitchen well stocked ect.

The location is incredible with amazing views. We spent most of the time in the wonderful sunroom with huge view of the lake. The house is lovely with really thoughtful touches for anyone's needs. My husband and I with our 2 dogs had a great time. Easy access to the beach and quiet residential neighborhood. Perfect!

My 3 grown children and I stayed here for one week. We absolutely loved it the entire time. The views were spectacular and the lake breeze coming in fabulous. We enjoyed our daily walks to the beach. The only thing I wish was different about our vacation here was - I wish I could have rented it for two straight weeks. I highly recommend staying here!!

We had a lovely family vacation in the dune beach house in Michigan City. It had an absolutely great view of the lake/sunsets. We comfortably slept six teens/adults. The AC was great, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was easy to use and clean up, the outdoor shower was handy, the outdoor seating and fire ring were great. And Michigan City is a charming little town (very quiet!). The beach is absolutely great (and this is coming from an East Coast native). I would definitely return to both the house and Michigan City.

My sisters and I enjoyed the house very much. It was clean and in a great location. The house was fully stocked with essentials. The view of the lake was fabulous. The only downside was the walk back up the hill to the house from the beach. But that is to be expected in Michigan City. Any questions we had were answered in a friendly and timely manner.

We have been coming to Michigan City for several years. This property was in a great location and perfect for our family. The check in process was easy and the house was just as described. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We enjoyed hiking at the Indiana Dunes State Park and drove the 15 min drive to New Buffalo for a day. Swingbellys was great for dinner and Dunebillies is always good for breakfast. My only issue was the weeds were so overgrown by the picnic table that we were unable to enjoy dining outside and they made it difficult to enjoy the view of the lake. The weeds were also hanging over the steps to the beach pathway, making it difficult to walk down the steps. Everything else made for a great family vacation. We would definitely stay here again.

Went the first day without an operating refrigerator and to top it all off there was a hole in the drywall when we got there and they blamed it on us and kept our deposit. As a Christian family not only would i have told them we did it but i would've asked them if the deposit was enough to cover it. Let's just say I'll never rent from them again! VERY SAD!

Our family had a wonderful 3 night stay. The welcome book was very thorough and we used many of their recommendations. It was nice to have access to the outside shed for beach equipment. The house was clean and I appreciated that there were little things like toilet paper, paper towels, soap, cleaning products, bonfire equipment, and even some toys for the kids! The view of Lake Michigan was absolutely beautiful too. Overall a great place to stay!

It was such an easy and relaxing stay. No issues at all. We just got to enjoy our vacation as a family of 4. The place was very well stocked and had what we needed and if not, it wasn’t a far drive to the grocery store. The beach was within walking distance and we so beautiful and not a lot of other people. Overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone else. We would also stay here again if we ever come this way again.

Best part of this location is the view! Perfect for your coffee every morning. Nice walk to the lake but beware, the sand gets hot and the dunes give you a good workout! The wagon with chairs for the beach was greatly appreciated. Only some rooms have air but as long as you keep doors open, air to 68 and ceiling fans on, the air travels throughout the house. Plenty of blankets and towels to get through a week stay. Loved the binder full of suggestions from the host. We tried the Blind Pig and it did not disappoint. Host was easy to work with and answered any questions I had.
If you struggle with stairs, this may not be a good house to stay at. Stairs not a problem? Book this home!

Everything about this property was as described, and better in many ways. The attention to detail was really excellent - there was a booster seat, pack and play, toys, a beach stroller, and even toddler plates/utensils. Having the bottled, filtered water and eco-friendly cleaning products and PLENTY of clean linens was also a nice touch for a family traveling. The screened in porch was so lovely, as was the view. The property manager emailed us the first night to give us heat instructions since it was far colder than anticipated for the time of year. Everything was excellent, and we will definitely plan a return trip. Michigan city is definitely different than the other towns further north into Michigan, but charming and fun in its own ways. And far less crowded.

We rented this house to meet family from Michigan to celebrate new years, and have a late Christmas weekend. It was perfect for us! We loved the fully stocked kitchen and the proximity to the lake. We would stay again!

The view from the very comfortable front porch offered a spectacular view of an unfolding sunset one night and a building storm rolling in another night. The cottage was well equipped and immaculate. It’s the kind of coziness that bids you to stay longer.

Great views and excellent beaches. We enjoyed relaxing by the beach and sitting on the porch reading and relaxing on rainy days. It was nice and cozy for my partner and I and our dog. It would also be a great place for more people. The hosts thought of every little thing that might be needed. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Despite the map and the directions, the exact driveway was missed when we arrived. The garbage cans were in the way of the house number at the road. The house was in a great location and was very clean with the exception of a few clumps of hair from a furry friend. The communication was timely and clear. The only improvement I’d request is to have a couple of light blankets for sleepers on the futons. We checked all drawers, but found only pillows. This is minor. I would definitely stay here again!

We've been vacationing in Michigan City for years now and this rental takes the cake for best lake views. Whether it was our morning coffee or our evening cocktail, we really enjoyed relaxing in the yard or in the screened-in porch with the gorgeous lake in view. This house was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, have a bonfire, and enjoy the beach. We especially appreciated the wagon and beach chairs available for use. The hosts did a great job communicating with us and sharing recommendations of their favorite places. We hope to come back again!

Very Close World Class Beach
Didn't realize the beautiful beaches we have right here in the Midwest! At times I forgot where I was! The house was beautiful and sits on top of a dune - so get ready to walk up a hill. Good way to burn off those vacation calories. The house itself was clean and roomy with a beautiful screened back porch and a nice firepit area. The charcoal grill and kitchen were just fine, we cooked there almost every night with no problems. The sunsets were gorgeous. The neighborhood was quiet. The Michigan City area seemed safe and had some beautiful sights to be had as well. Overall we had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Od but nice
A somewhat older home where the kitchen has been updated and rhe rest of the home has been well maintained. It's limitations are one full bath with an upstairs half bath which is very small. The bedrooms. Are adequate. With access via a step narrow staircase. A limited number of power outlets throughout most of the house. Beautiful lakefront scened albiet from accross the street. Its a beautiful area and the house is a place to return to from the beach r other activities. Will always remember being 100 plus feet above the lale n the top of a sanddune.
