Couldn't have been better! Host, location, super clean updated house... everything perfect. Mahalo

Me and friends honestly couldn’t have asked for a whole lot more. We were in town for a friend’s funeral, and having this place to commemorate him while we were bustling around the island made everything a lot easier. The home was clean and ready for us, with plenty of the things you’d want to have a good time in Maui. One criticism: the tub didn’t put out any hot water, and that was after trying for about 5 minutes. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice.

We were in Maui with our son, daughter in law and our 2 year old granddaughter. The house was so lovely, with a large, open area for the LR, DR and kitchen and then 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was furnished nicely and was very comfortable. There was a yard and outdoor shower, and best of all, a 5 minute walk to a great small beach. Every day, we spent part of the day at the beach, feeling very lucky to share the beach with a few huge turtles. The house is in Paia, which is a small, cute town with Mama's Fish Market for dinner and a small store near the house which had lunch and a little of everything else. We all loved staying there and look forward to coming back again next year.

This place was absolutely perfect for our family! The location can't be beat, and the house has everything needed to feel like home... but way better :)

Such a well-maintained property with attention to detail management and convenient access to natural beauty. Really enjoyed this side of the island and its contrast to West/South Maui.

Hawaiian charm! Great Paia location. Loved this cottage style house! Even took pictures because I'd like to build it waterfront back on Cape Cod. Outdoor shower was a huge hit. 5 of us and house was set with plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear, etc. We stayed 3 places on Maui and this was by far our favorite, even ranked higher than the direct waterfront house. I am a rental owner and my standards are very high. If you want a bungalow, true Hawaiian experience I can't recommend this home enough.

We loved our stay at the Menehune house. Perfect location. Clean. Comfortable. Organized and well stocked. We will definitely stay at Menehune again.

We were 4 adults and 1 child staying for 5 nights. This was definitely a home away from home and was very comfortable. The owners/managers really have taken great care to provide all that visitors need - everything from a rice maker, to EO soap to great bedding....so many great amenities! The surrounding garden on the property was private and beautifully maintained. We especially enjoyed the outdoor tub and shower, which became our evening ritual after long days at the beach. The house was quite hot during the day even with the fans going, but cooled off some at night. AC in all the bedrooms would make it even better (currently only in 1 bdrm). With a corner market and access to a beach within walking distance, it's a great location. When we visited there was also a plentiful amount of water toys (boogie boards, fins, snorkel/masks, chairs, umbrellas, etc). We'd definitely return to this lovely house.

We were so thrilled when we arrive at this charming Paia beach house and upset that we had to leave so soon! This house and property is very beautiful and exactly what you need for a small family. My wife could not stop talking about how cute the place was, bonus points for me! This magical oasis is filled with fruit trees and there is even a in-ground tub outside which just calls for a romantic evening! If you are a surfer is it a perfect spot in between Baldwin Beach and Ho'okipa, only a 5 min drive to either location. Paia town is also very close(~8-10 min). You can walk to Mama's Beach from the place which is great for the kids since it has a very large and nice tidal pool. Just make sure that you make a reservation for Mama's Fish house about a year in advance :). We met Steve, the owner, who is very nice and welcoming. He and Anne (the property manager) are readily available and will make sure that your stay is nothing but excellent. We had nothing but an excellent stay, we will be coming back. Highly recommended. This well equipped home was conveniently located within driving distance of the beaches, Paia, Haleakala, and the road to Hana. Unfortunately we were informed after having paid that there would be work done on the outside of the house during out stay. This was a slight inconvenience, but the owner knew that it would occur before we rented, and we would have appreciated having that information prior to committing.

Our family of four (myself, my husband, two teen girls) spent two days in the house in March of 2016. It was spotless, large, very comfortable. It had a fully stocked kitchen, easy to cook it. The washer/dryer was very helpful. Great yard and jacuzzi. Can easily walk to Mama's fish house or the small store/deli. Neighborhood is quiet, residential. Roomy, airy space. Loved it!!

W spent 10 days in the Menehune house in August 2015. We are a family with 3 children of the age 16, 14 and 5. The size of the house was perfect for us. We loved the house, beautifully equiped with everything you may need from the beach towels to the beach chairs, the bodyboards for the kids and all the cookingware you are used to have at home. You do not feel being in a rented house but at some friends house. When we arrived the house was extremely cleaned with fruit basket and complimentary welcome beverage in the fridge! A big thank you to Anne who have organized our venue very professionnally and we felt awaited. We used the outdoor dining table and the barbecue every evening and it was so perfect for us. Kids just loved the jacuzzi and enjoyed it almost every late afternoon. The house is located in the north shore of Maui, in a very quiet and very convenient area, close to Mama's Fish house restaurant, which makes it close to Hookipa beach for windsurfers and Surfers and very close from Paia. We took kite surfing lessons every day for our first time in Kanaha beach and we now would love to come back next year to practice.. and for sure in the same house!!!
