This is a wonderful family home! We loved being close to town but right on the river. Having 3 bathrooms with a big family is a wonderful thing and there was plenty of space to spread out! The porch is my favorite spot for drinking coffee and visiting with family. I love how it perfectly frames the view of the river! The fishing dock is right in front of the house and the fish are ready to be caught! This is our new favorite place and we will definitely be back!

We are frequent visitors to Matagorda but this is our first time staying in this area on the Colorado River. Cute cottage — Great location, we unloaded the boat at the harbor but were able to dock the boat at the cottage’s pier during the day. Great fishing at the pier at night under the green lights. It was nice to find a house with 2 king beds! Owners responded promptly.

This was a nice fishing trip for our son and 2 friends (15 years old). The property is nice, but is in need of some repair. We enjoyed our time there. Thanks!

We frequent Gorda several times a year. Our normal bnb was not available and this one was appealing. I wasnt sure how I would like not being on the main drag of beach homes, but I absolutely fell in love with this location. The home is a good size and three bathrooms rock when coming in from a day at the beach. The fishing was actual better than some other locations we have stayed. The porch was large and had plenty of outdoor seating. The yard was amazing for the family to gather (we had other family memeners staying down the road) especially the kids... you only had really one thing to watch out for with the little kids and that was the dock... versus the dock..the balconies, the speeding cars and several access locations to the water at our normal bnb. The beds were great...the owner did not go cheap when buying mattresses for guest. The home was clean, inviting and the ac kept the home cool even in the heat of the day. There was a very cool game room, we didnt get a chance to use it this time but it was really neat! Now for the folks that visit Gorda alot... we all dread having to take your trash to the dump on the way out... this property has a trash bin... we were able to skip the dump and head straight home!!! This home was very nice and offered everything we needed for our family. The home has 3 seperate bathrooms so that was a big plus. We had 6 adults and grandchildren. Everyone commented what a great location we were in. Loved the privacy. We fished and crabbed....played lots of games provided by the property and relaxed on the beautiful porch. We really didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this property.

This place is great, loved the pier, and the game room was a plus, house is very spacious, very clean inside and out, the host is very nice and is great on communicating through out your stay and very caring. Would definitely recommend this rental.

Nice place to stay if you are okay with not being on the beach about s 15 minute drive but we were good with that. Nice pier for fishing we did not catch a lot but enjoyed being able to spend the time trying.
