We were happy with the location of the home. Our stay would have been much more enjoyable if we had walked into a clean home. This one needs a little work. For starters, there were nails sticking out everywhere on the deck, we had to wear shoes at all times and watch where we stepped. My nephew stepped on a nail and cut his foot. The fans in the living room were filthy with thick dust. When we turned the fan on, it flew everywhere. So, we had to dust and vacuum (the carpets needed it anyway when we arrived), there was also an old coffee filter left in the coffee pot - so we had to thoroughly scrub that before use, and there was also a handful of dishes not properly cleaned. We used the electric griddle to make french toast for breakfast the first morning of our stay and it was caked with grease from past uses. Bathrooms and bedding seemed to be fairly clean. The toilet in the guest bath closest to the kitchen had a broken handle - if you didn't take the time to pull it back up the toilet would continually run. I feel like when we completed our check out list the night before leaving, the house was cleaner than when we arrived. What we did enjoy about the house - it was a short walk to the beach, there were plenty of chairs and beach toys for the kids to play with. I would recommend upgrading the boogie boards and chairs. Chairs were rusty and all boogie boards were broken - kids used them anyway. The neighborhood was clean, quiet and friendly! Easy to travel to VA Beach and other surrounding areas we visited while there. Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful Sandbridge beach and look forward to vacationing here again. Would be looking for other rental home options.

Also, upon arrival the cleanliness of the house was a little less than I would have expected, particularly bathroom and dog hair on carpet. The kitchen while fully stocked, did have knives that were so dull they were basically unusable. Many of the pans had the Teflon badly scratched which then increases the toxicity and should not be used by anyone. There were lots of things that would be easy to fix but are left undone or poorly patched. Despite these things we did have a great time. I'm not sure if I'd return to this exact home, but definitely the same area!

The home was roomy, the beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied, with all of the necessary conveniences of home for cooking those family sized meals. The views of the ocean are as depicted in the photos. You can see water from the kitchen, top deck and family room. The layout and furnishings are more “bohemian sea cottage” but the home was clean and cool, (we were there when the temps were a consistent 90+ degrees.) The washer and dryer made it easy to not overpack. Some other points that may be helpful to those ready to enjoy the home: no Keurig but there is a coffee maker with timer and filters; there is an iron in the hall closet, and the filtered water and ice maker from the fridge was a big help to keep hydrated and help the environment need for plastic bottles. My boys loved the basketball court, ping pong table and fussball (sp?) table when the beach was too hot mid day or we just needed to chill. The only issue was the grill was dirty, (guests really need to clean up after themselves when they cook), but we packed an indoor griddle that sufficed. We couldn’t have been happier choosing Pelican Point for the price and amenities it had to offer. Sandbridge Beach was clean, safe, quiet and lovely... and just a stones throw from the hustle of Va Beach if you want a day or two of more up tempo activities. There are several parks and shopping galore nearby too.

The house is on the smaller side, but cozy for our family of 9. The appliances are in great condition with a large icemaker in the frig. The kitchen is well stocked. The outdoor shower even has hot water. The beds were comfortable too. There is a highchair there which was great with 2 toddlers. The is a game closet with games and puzzles which were great for rainy days. There were even some small toys for children there too.The cons were it took 15 hours after check in to access the basement because it has a different code. We were told it was the same as the upstairs. It was not. The bedroom with the deck is so hot in the evenings and at night due to the sliding glass door. The other rooms were comfortable. The thermostat can be set no lower than 70 on ac and no higher than 68 on heat. The basement has a musty smell to it because if it rains hard, the rain enters the basement. Just like any other beach house there were ants if you didnt seal away food. The wifi is spotty and worked only about half the time during our stay. Overall though we would come back. We had a wonderful time here making great memories.

We enjoyed a quiet spring break in Sandbridge. The house was as advertised. A great location - so close to the beach that we didn't even have to put our shoes on to walk over there! - and a nice, quiet, residential neighborhood. It had a well-stocked kitchen, clean linens, and some nice extras for kids (closet with some games, foosball table, ping pong, beach toys, etc.). The place is no frills,, but clean, comfortable, cozy, and the price was right. Good for a family like ours (4 young children + 2 parents). We'll be back!

We needed to get out of town, and were able to do work and virtual school for elementary-age kids from the house with limited issues (the internet router had to get reset out a few times on a very windy day, but for the most part it was fine). The house is great - lots of room, great location near the beach, a playground, and a park with short hiking trails. The pingpong table and foosball table downstairs were a big hit (and good soundproofing between up and down!). Surprisingly warm and cosy in the winter. Would definitely recommend.

I ran by myself on a daily basis and always felt safe. We went hiking in the local state park (you could walk or ride bikes too from the house). Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back to Sandbridge!

This place was perfect! We were a group of 9 and it was the perfect size. Cozy home right across the street from the beach. Outdoor shower was amazing. Neighborhood was great and was quiet at night. Would definitely come back and recommend to all!!

The area was great super close to the ocean the house had most of everything you would need to have a great stay the entire time you were there the area was nice no problems with neighbors or anything like that the house could use alittle update with TV’s and small appliances but when I showed up I only recieved one password to the house and the downstairs and upstairs were completely different passwords and when I called to get it sorted out while standing in the pouring rain the woman I talked to from beach pro’s reality treated me like I did something wrong and informed me that the beach house was not one of their property’s. I told her it definitely was as I was staring at the sign that said beach pros realty she continued to treat me bad until I gave her my name and she typed in the name for my reservation and found out it was a property of theirs then we got into the room to find two towels for ten people and 2 hand towels and a load of dishes to unload from the dishwasher hopefully the bed sheets and pillow cases were changed other than that little problem there we still had a great time and great memories were made

Pelican Point is a wonderful beach house in a great location. The kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms are beautiful, and the downstairs outside shower and beach amenities are great. The house is well cared for. “Needed” upgrades include new TVs, new ceiling tiles (water stains), and refinished decking.

I understand the area dodged a severe storm however the exterior of the home was a mess. Nothing a quick cleaning with a power washer could not have fixed. All the other properties on the street were cleaned. Also there were 2 grills, 1 propane and 1 charcoal - both were disgusting. The charcoal grill grate actually has mold growing on it. The beach and area is BEAUTIFUL but I would choose another realty company. Beach Pro Realty has a ton of rules but limited accountability for their property.
