The house on Poipu was a perfect size for us. It was spacious with spacious rooms for the five adults. We were close to many of the places we wanted to see in Kauai so traveling around the island was not bad at all. thanks for allowing us to stay in your home.

This was our first time visiting Kauai and we couldn't have stayed a better house. It had all the amenities we could ask for, and was very spacious and clean. It's a short walk to Kaihuna beach and has great views from the back yard. We would also like to Thank Jeremy, who was quick to respond and address any concerns we had. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kauai.

We booked this property last minute due to a change in vacation plans, and it ended up being perfect. Having the ability to use the athletic club pool and workout space was wonderful, it's close to a lot of lovely beaches, a really quiet spot to stay, lots of space and very well appointed - dinners in were easy, the beds were comfortable, the beach gear was fantastic and Jeremy was very responsive. Would highly recommend this property for families or for groups looking for a nice, quiet place to stay and spend some quality time.

My family and I recently enjoyed staying here. The property exceeded all of our expectations. This was our first visit to Kauai, and we will certainly be back. The house is beautiful and well-stocked with everything you need. The house provided the ideal setting for a memorable family vacation.

Our stay was fabulous. Very nice place to stay. Jeremy was awesome at getting back to us with answers to questions and very accommodating with any requests we made. Would definitely stay here again. Hated to leave and actually considered extending our stay.

We loved our stay at Halalu house. The hosts were excellent. Rooms were spacious and quiet, kitchen well stocked, and tons of nice little amenities like boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, coolers, and more.

Lots of tropical greenery, trees and plants surrounded the home. Quiet area with other lovely houses in the neighborhood. Kitchen was very well equipped and would be great for fixing and cooking meals. We just did breakfast there, and enjoyed going to the many fine restaurants around Kauai for lunch and dinner. Each bedroom had a convenient bathroom, with a downstairs powder room as well. Our group of 4 longtime friends enjoyed this place a lot!

This really is a gorgeous house in a very nice, quiet neighborhood close to everything around Poipu. The craftsmanship, layout, and amenities are truly excellent for a relaxing visit to Kauai. Our family of six, three generations ranging in age from 16 to 86, loved Halalu Plantation House. The open kitchen/great room provided plenty of space when we were together (high ceilings and bigger than it looks in the pictures), and the bedrooms up and down gave enough privacy, private bathrooms, and good sleeping spaces. The upscale kitchen is really well stocked with everything you need to make and serve meals, and the view out the kitchen window is stunning. The house in general is REALLY well appointed with thoughtfulness put into many details - even the beach amenities all worked great; it was really handy to have chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, towels all set to go. We were also really pleasantly surprised by the Poipu Beach Athletic Club - we worked out, swam, and hung out there several times, super nice! All in all, it is the perfect home to use as a base for a great Hawaiian vacation. Between the 6 of us, it received12 thumbs up!

The Halalu is a new construction house in a quiet neighborhood just .4 miles from the path that runs in front of the Sheraton, Kiahuna Plantation, Marriott and on to Poipu beach and is wonderful walk to take at sunrise or sunset. If you are planning a beach day you’ll want to drive to Poipu or other nearby beach. Note, the house has a full shed of beach equipment with many more items than are listed in the description so there is no need to buy beach toys! The house comes with admission to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club, .9 miles from the house. If you walk, you’ll have to walk on the side of busy Poipu Rd., so driving is preferable. The Club is ideal for the whole family with a pool that has a sand beach at one end and a waterslide at the other. There is a full outdoor gym, tennis and pickle ball courts as well as basketball, volleyball and pingpong, plus poolside service provided by the club’s restaurant and bar. The Halalu house location is close to family friendly activities and restaurants and is a win, win for a great family vacation.

We enjoyed the Halalu house. Communication was great from the very beginning and the whole process went very smoothly. The house was great for our family of five and the location was perfect for all the activities we did. The house was very impressive and we'd definitely stay there again!

Our stay at Halalu house was fantastic. The property is located close to everything in Poipu in a quiet residential neighborhood. The house it’s self is in fantastic condition and is well stocked from kitchen utensils and appliances, to extra bedding and a pack & play, to everything you need for a great day at the beach. This is a great property for families and a great place to stay in Poipu.

The house was absolutely perfect for our stay. The house is clean and spacious. It is really nice that every bedroom has its own bathroom and own A/C control. The location is perfect too - a few minutes drive from the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. We were very pleased with our 3 week stay at the house and would highly recommend it!

We rented the house for our family reunion 2 couples and 1 adult. Everything was perfect + The staff was very friendly and responsive for any questions/suggestions. We loved it so much and we are already co sider booking it again for the next year.

Beautiful property in a quiet, safe and convenient area. 5 stars. Minor inconvenience is parking setup. There’s a driveway in front of the house that you can not park in. Also just an FYI - when I got directions from google maps they were accurate but google maps shows an empty lot where the house is located. This is a great house that slept 3 couples each with private bedroom and bathrooms and we loved our stay.

Amazing property in a very nice and quiet neighborhood, a short walk to shops and dining, ocean, & Starbucks. The home was clean and new, modern decor and furniture, separate AC controls in each room, and the beds were very comfortable. We would stay here again, highly recommend!

Beautiful home! It had everything we needed , was well appointed and was in a great, quiet, convenient neighborhood. Arrival and departure were easy. Had the best time there!

We stay on Kauai every year for 2 weeks and we stayed in this home for 16 nights.When we arrived the check in process was easy and the house seemed clean. Pros: Great location, you can walk to the beach, shops and the nearby athletic club in 5-10 min. separate a/c controls were def a plus. Jeremy the property manager was nice and handled slow draining sinks within a day. Cons: You are on a shared property with the owner. This has never been an issue for us before this trip. We usually make friends if the owner is nearby and often have drinks with them. On the 2nd day, My son and my husband were playing with water guns on my sons 8th birthday and Dave (the owner) blocked an area outside our fence so they were unable to run/play. Then the next morning he came to us and compared their play to columbine and the recent shootings. He also said he heard an “explosion” come from our house. That was a balloon popping. The house only had 5 beach towels and the kitchen is not stocked at all. No Tupperware for families that stay for longer periods of time and just a few pots and pans. The blender still doesn’t have a top that I read was missing in another review. We cleaned the coffee pot because it was disgusting. The showers and bathrooms had hair in the corners so I asked for a mop to be delivered so I could clean. Small ants were in the master bathroom despite cleaning. We were bummed that we felt under someone’s thumb during such a long stay. I would NOT recommend this home if you have kids or are staying longer than a few days.

Halalu House is clean, the bedrooms are spacious, and outdoor spaces useful throughout the day as the sun moves. The location of this property and all of its amenities were perfect including the access to the Beach Club which we used a lot. The communication was helpful prior to booking and appreciated being able to add an extra day after our flight was changed on us. The home was beautiful and comfortable and amazingly clean! We would love to come back for another week and a half!
