Our experience was far better than we expected. This was our first time using VRBO. The owner thought of everything we needed it was very unexpected so we over packed only to find out we didn’t need half of what we brought. Loved how it’s back off the road and peaceful yet close to places we wanted to go.

The cottage is cozy and well decorated. It was just what we had hoped for. It came equipped with everything we needed and more. The backyard was beautiful and we say deer everyday. One doe had twin fawns. We didn’t get to use the fire pit but next year I will ask where to get the kindling as I know sometimes you are not suppose to bring wood with you. Also we’d bring matches but it just didn’t work out this time around. We certainly hope the accept our reservation next summer. Blueberry cottage was perfect for us. Ann Tillotson

Our family of four stayed at blueberry cottage, and can’t say enough good things about it! It was incredibly clean, and well appointed with thoughtful touches throughout. The location was quiet, and only about 30 minutes from Bar Harbor. If we ever return to Maine, we will certainly stay at blueberry cottage again!

I loved the location - peaceful with deer in the morning and evening! The cottage was absolutely spotless. It is just as the pictures show! I have family in the area and it was wonderful to have room for them to visit. I got home and then booked another stay in the fall! I will definitely be back next year too!

Cottage was spacious for the 2 of us Lighting could have been better near the kitchen table Bed was very comfortable shower was great Kitchen was well appointed with staples provided The only negative was that the fry pan and the toaster oven pan were greasy They need a better method of determining what has been used so that they can check for cleanliness No dish washer to sanitize

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage! It had everything we needed and we were able to easily get to Acadia.

My husband and I enjoyed the Blueberry cabin with the access across the street down a path to the ocean to catch some amazing sunrise photos! The cabin was well equipped with laundry soap, full kitchen with coffee and tea along with a comfortable bed and TV streaming. Unfortunately all the restaurants and lobster shacks were closed in the area as we booked November1-4 and we weren’t aware how seasonal everything was. We were able to find lobster in Bar Harbor, tho so no loss! Nice vacation no and great place to stay if you’re looking for something outside of the busy Bar Harbor area. Great hiking and loved watching all the deer every morning and evening in the yard.

The home is cozy and comfortable and the hosts have thought of everything you could need, while maintaining an adorable old-fashioned homey vibe. Also, it is spotlessly clean. The location is excellent for exploring the area and very close to the charming downtown Southwest Harbor. The neighborhood is VERY quiet and the property is a short walk/drive to the shore. Checkin was effortless. Wi-fi is not great, I assume because of the location, but cell service was good. We slept like logs on the comfortable beds. The check-out "chore list" was minimal (thank you, hosts!) and limited to the usual strip-the-beds, start-the-laundry type things.

Great experience at this house. Rural setting, close to the town center, But within a 20 walk of shoreline. House Was comfortable and had washer/ dryer. Beds were comfy. Very homey.thank you for all the amenities. We loved our stay. It had everything we needed.

My husband and I LOVED our stay at Blueberry Cottage. We referred to it as Grandma's house because everything was perfect there. It was impeccably clean, it had everything that we could have wanted, and we were greeted daily by the local deer. It was charming, warm, and clearly a beloved property. We highly recommend this home for any individual, couple or small family looking for a home away from home.

Adorable cottage in a picturesque seaside setting. Just outside Southwest Harbor where ocean views and hiking trails are minutes away. The perfect setting to enjoy the spectacular fall foliage that Maine is known for!

This property is quaint. It is comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. Had several deer around the cottage eating the apples, etc. It was a nice base for a few days while we visited the Acadia National Park. I would stay again

We were taking our first trip to the northeast on somewhat of a budget - and this property overdelivered. We enjoyed the location, which was a short distance from the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse and about 30 minutes to Bar Harbor (a beautiful 30 minute drive!). The cottage was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and everything was perfectly clean. My wife and I will 100% stay here again if we ever have the opportunity to visit Maine again.

This cozy little house starts strong and just gets better. The kitchen is well equipped with a good selection of pots and pans and utensils. You finally get used to seeing four or five deer in the backyard and BOOM, it's seven or eight turkeys. And THEN the deer again. Smoke alarm doesn't like shower steam, but that's easily taken care of- just open the windows and let in that Fresh Maine Air. Friendly hosts, a great bargain on Mt Desert.

This charming cottage was a wonderful home base for our exploration of Acadia. We enjoyed being on the quieter side of things and found Southwest Harbor wonderful with great shops and food. The cottage was clean and enjoyable. It was great seeing deer daily and walking to the ocean from the house. We enjoyed our stay at the Blueberry Cottage and would recommend.

We originally stayed here as a cheaper alternative to staying inside Bar Harbor, what we discovered is that this is were we wanted to be all along. Its back in a small dead end road, its very quiet and even though there are neighbors its fairly private. The area of Seawall and Southwest Harbor has several small shops and restaurants that are within a 10 minute drive. The house itself is small with a somwhat large property out back, seems like it might have an acre out back that runs into woods. We saw deer in the field in the mornings. Its very clean and tidy, the large bed was comfy and our daughter slept well on the smaller bed in the living area. The wifi was pretty slow but usable, phone service on the entire island is hit and miss. The walkway to the beach is across the road. Take the lane directly across from the one you pulled in on, at the VERY end is house and right before the woods end is a path in the woods over to the beach. Its a very nice little path and the beach is secluded, you will probably be the only people out on it. The walk might be 10 minutes at the most, its worth a look! All in all this is a perfect stay for a small family or couples and i would definitely look at coming back and staying here again.

The cabin was perfect for 3 adults. The kitchen was well-stocked. Overall, the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The only downside was that it was a bit of a drive to meet friends in Bar Harbor. But it was very close to Thurston's Lobster Pound, which was excellent.
