Beautiful property and stunning views! Plenty of room for our entire family. Loved being so close to Highlands as well!

We had a good time at this lodge. It was fairly well appointed and quite comfortable. The GPS sent us on a wrong road and there are signs on the way to the house that say VRBO NOT WELCOMED. So, I guess just ignore those and don't be too concerned. We talked to some neighbors and they were nice.

What a lovely place to stay, pictures don’t do it justice!

We can not say enough good things about this property! My sister and I rented this home for our 83 year old mother (who happens to be on a walker) on our trip to the mountains. We also had several grown grandkids come stay with us so there were 3 generations staying under one roof. The interior of the home is warm and inviting and made with beautiful wood. We even had a fire in the fireplace during our stay which was so nice. The house has the best layout, the main floor was easy for my mom to access right off the covered carpet area. She could easily get around from her bedroom to the kitchen area and even to the rear porch. I think I spent most of my time out on the covered back porch just staring at the amazing view. The older grandkids spent a lot of time playing ping pong downstairs and roaming the property. This home has so much space to accommodate a large group without feeling crowded. The large kitchen is a great area to gather and cook together. There is ample seating at the island and dining room tables. The location was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. We went into Highlands to shop, Dillard to eat, and hiked many waterfalls in the area. You will not be disappointed renting this home, bring your whole family.

Beautiful scenery , large place with lots of amenities. Rooms are big with plenty of space. Very clean and lots of games and puzzles to keep one busy. Short drive to Higlands NC. Only big down size was low internet band width that prevented watching championship football games . Max bandwidth was around 30-40 mbps and not stable.

We had such an amazing time at this property! The views from the back porch are breathtaking. The property is very remote and truly in the woods. However, the commute feels worth it once it opens up to the beautiful Mountain View. Hanging out on the back porch on the patio furniture watch the sun rise or set was the best!

We enjoyed our wonderful vacation in this lovely home. The back deck is a great outdoor space where we enjoyed morning coffee and cookouts while admiring the postcard-perfect mountain views and fall foliage. The kitchen is very well stocked and has all cookware that cooking enthusiasts need. We gathered for meals at the large dining room table, followed by downtime, sitting around the fireplace. The guest rooms are roomy and most had private bathrooms. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will consider returning in the future.

We had an excellent time, thank you. Great views, excellent house with everything you need or want. We really enjoyed our family reunion. The road in was a little confusing the first time in, but easy after that. The signs coming in were a bit much but I can understand moving to the wilderness and then having strangers invading your privacy could be upsetting. All in all we had a great time and would love to come back next year. EXCELLENT ADVENTURE.

The property was better than pictured and larger than expected. Our family had more than enough room and the beds were super comfortable! Everything we could need was in the home, so even though we did not spend much time there due to obligations in Highlands, we never were lacking in cookware or other things. The back deck was perfect to relax on and the view was stunning. The only thing I was not expecting was the very long gravel road to the property. It is common in the mountains to have gravel drives, but we did have to find alternative parking for one of our vehicles (a sports car) due to the long gravel road. The SUVs had no issue making it to the house, but be prepared and don't bring a low riding car! The stay was just wonderful and very comfortable.

This beautiful house offers amazing space for a quiet, soothing get-away. Enjoy your mornings on the porch gazing at the blue hills in the distance. Or on the bedroom porch laid back in Adirondack chairs, soaking in the view. Beauty and peace--so very nice.

Wonderful house for my large family!!! We lived in the porches and enjoyed the beautiful views. Renata was a fantastic host and took care of all our needs.

I checked with all the occupants before writing and everybody enjoyed the stay but have some points to let the manager know. First is the internet connection.. signal was on And off and once we can use our own internet in the house, makes it hard for everybody. 2nd is about the tv. Some think it should be a a smart tv só guests would enjoy a nice movie..Other than that the house and the area are beautiful!

We have now returned multiple times, why, because it is always a real pleasant time at a real pleasant place. Which happens to be just what we like. The only bad thing is the secret is out and we have to share.

Just beautiful and relaxing. Fall leaves just beginning to turn. But would be beautiful in any season. Spectacular views. The deck looking at sunset was amazing! Fire pit gave it the perfect ambience. And the beds were great. Looking forward to another trip soon.

Truly a jewel in the woods! Rick’s home and property is more serene than words can describe. I imagine it’s perfect in any season. We had a lot of rain during our stay, but still enjoyed it all the same, thanks to the covered deck and views off the back (they’re unbeatable). The directions, descriptions of everything, recommendations for things to do in the area and overall communication were excellent.
