We stayed at Stonesteps 2 for a family beach vacation. The home was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family. The house had plenty of room to spread out and a beautiful outdoor space for meals. The beds were comfortable and having two showers was very helpful after the beach. The house is on a nice quiet street only two blocks from Stonesteps beach and a 10 minute walk to Moonlight beach. Great area. We chose to park on the street where there was plenty of space.

Super clean and cute place. Everything we wanted. Location, space, appliances, etc. highly recommend. Plenty of room for two adjusts and three kids. Close to moonlight beach but you don’t have to deal with the parking.

The house itself and yard were great. Just the right size. Well-stocked kitchen and nice linens. Beds very comfy. Furniture was also comfy and lots of TVs. Nice picnic table and other seating in the back yard. In a cute neighborhood a short walk from the beach. Our main issue that caused the lower rating was an ant problem. We had many ants crawling around everywhere in our kitchen almost every day we were there (our food was in closed containers). In talking with the prior tenant who had stopped by to pick up something they forgot, they told us that they also had ants during their stay. The property management company was helpful; they sent out two different pest control companies (ants were worse after the first time). The second time seemed to be working after a few days, but by that time we had decided to leave early (week four of five). In all fairness, the second pest company told us that the ants were most likely exacerbated by the heavy rains that swept through California. This didn't make the experience any better but at least we knew the cause. We did ask for and receive a small refund for the inconvenience.

I rented the house from Oct 13 to Nov 10th for myself and my son’s family we were 5 and had plenty of room to spread around inside and outside, really loved the place. The place was clean and had everything that we needed. Family safe neighbourhood and beach really close by, 1 minute walk if you don’t mind the stairs or below 10 minutes walk for a full equipped beach including playground, toilets and showers. I would definitely recommend and rent again.

We would absolutely stay at this property again. Love the quick walk to the beach and local coffee shop. There are great restaurants close by and downtown Encinitas is fun to walk around. Super clean and a lot of room to spread out.

Great property, excellent location - very quiet neighborhood...it was FANTASTIC. If you want a place to stay at so once you arrive, you park the car and don't use it until you leave...THIS IS THE PLACE. So many things to do that are walking distance...and if you need the car to go other places, it isn't a long drive. Really great place, I'll be sure to stay here again in the future.

Clean and easy to get into.

Well deserving 5 stars for this Encinitas beach vacation house. The checkin/checkout was easy, the house was spacious (plenty of room for 6), immaculate condition and super clean, great outdoor areas, and location was fantastic being able to walk to Stonesteps beach and nearby restaurants. We would rent again!

Great spot, kitchen is well stocked with pots, glasses, cutlery, etc. Lots of space to spread out with your guests. The proximity to the beach is fantastic. Many restaurants, cafes are within walking distance. The boogie boards that were provided were well used by my kids. Definitely will be back!

Our stay at Stone Steps was lovely! The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful to stroll through and the beaches super accessible. The house has everything one needs to vacation, play at the beach, cook at home or work from home. It's comfortable for adults and kids alike. We highly recommend this property and would most definitely stay again.
