The location is fantastic - I’m the heart of the town. The guesthouse is beautiful, clean, great shower and comfortable. The owners, Shaun and Tracy, put on a lovely breakfast spread and were happy to accommodate our dietary needs - vegetarian and celiac.

Hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was really good.

Everything Really nice georgian house with an incredibly comfortable bed and beautiful room. The hosts were really accommodating with my check in time and were really nice to chat to. The room was all that I needed, with a cohesive decoration, and a shower with good pressure. There was a small fridge just outside the room where I was able to put some things to chill down. The breakfast was one of the best I had in a hotel, with lots of options, including gluten free and vegan. Fresh berries were also available. I will definitely repeat whenever I am up in Penrith.

Great location as we broke our journey to Scotland here. The house has a great character and our room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely hot shower. The breakfast was good with freshly baked croissants, fresh fruit, juice, toast and there was the option of scrambled eggs on toast if you wanted. Plenty of tea and coffee and great chat from the owner and other guests made a great start to our morning!! 😆

Really really enjoyed our stay at Cornerhouse. The owners are lovely and friendly, comfy cosy bed, tasty continental breakfast, exceptionally quiet room (couldn't hear the road or any other guests at all), beautiful decor, super close to Ullswater by car and walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars (Xavier's wine bar is just across the road and everything else within a 7 minute walk). Would very much recommend.

Nice and cosy. Lovely comfortable bed, had a great sleep Beautifully dressed room, it was spotless. Shower was hot and powerful, again spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast served by our very attentive hosts Sean and Trish. Close to local restaurants bars and pubs.

Nothing to complain about. Yes a little noise from the road, but it's situated on a busy junction.go figure!

Travelled 3 and a half hours to this wonderful place. Myself and my husband wanted a comfortable, chilled break, and this guesthouse was the ideal place. Very central, accommodating, and would definitely recommend.
