My group was in town to attend Winterfest at the Fairgrounds, and this was such a perfect location! With imbibing being the main highlight of the trip, I really appreciated the very near proximity to a couple nice food/drink options, as well as a liquor store (which has quite a surprising craft beer selection). Upland's College Ave tasting room, Greek's, and Dunkin are all within a couple minutes of walking distance, and we definitely took advantage! Can't overstate how huge of a plus this is for me when booking a place to stay, because being able to avoid driving without sacrificing good experiences/keeping the whole group happy when traveling is very important to me. If you're willing to wander a little further, there are some other great neighborhood options also (I highly recommend Fat Dan's). I do want to acknowledge a review I read before booking stating that the neighborhood was rough by saying that I very much disagree - while it's true that there is limited street lighting, I never felt unsafe during my stay, and also appreciated the relative quiet despite still being near civilization. Overall, I would happily stay here again, although I would like to mention that the full size beds upstairs, while comfortable, don't accommodate 2 guests each if members of your party happen to be larger/not everyone is part of a couple cool with getting cozy. The couch in the living room is very comfortable, though, and can also serve as a bed if you're not adverse.

This property is in an area that is about 5 blocks from the safe walkable neighborhood that is advertised. We arrived in the evening and had no place to park, the street was dark, the yard was uncut (grass 10 inches high) and looked abandoned. Felt very, very unsafe even with my husband. Would not pull baggage down that block from where parking might have been found. Property managers were completely unconcerned about the feedback when I called that evening explained that I felt unsafe and couldn't check in. They kept two nights fees along with all additional fees for cleaning etc and we didn't step foot in the place. Requested a compromise of 50% refund and that was still refused. I was told they are not responsible for the neighborhood, only what is inside the house.
