Spent a week with my son beaching and fishing and stuff OBX. I’ve been going to OBX for 20 summers and this was the most enjoyable place I’ve stayed when you take everything into consideration The hosts were great , friendly and helpful The place was clean and an enjoyable setting.

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is beautiful, airy and spacious. The location is convenient to shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The bed is very, very comfortable.

It was a beautiful apartment and perfect for our weekend getaway to the OBX. The owners communicated well and were very welcoming. We will definitely stay here again.

We found the accommodations to be clean, spacious, seemingly recently renovated, nicely laid out and easy to use for the most part (maybe some instructions about the 2 tv remotes, but John was quite helpful with that). For us, in our early 80s, the steep steps were a challenge, but that was our bad because we know they were there. Would have been no problem 5 years ago. All in all, a great place to stay

Beautiful comfy apartment! Located in nice residential area a short ride to the ocean where guest parking awaits. Near great restaurants and activities like the wild horses of Corolla.

I was in need of a quiet and beautiful place and this more than fit the bill. John was very responsive before and during my trip. I saw John and Katie maybe two or three times during the five days I was there and I never heard them while I was in the apartment. The apartment is around the corner and high up. The pictures online did not do it justice. It was immaculate, spacious and modern. The bed was so comfortable. Within the beautiful neighborhood is a really nice trail, marinas, tennis courts and a lovely park to watch the sunset. With a five minute drive, you will find a Food Lion, Harris Teeter and 7-11 gas station. If the Keurig coffee in the apartment is not your thing, there is a Starbucks in the same shopping center as the Food Lion. You have access to private parking that is just a 3 minute walk to the beach. Duck is about 5 minutes away and has so much to offer. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would. John and Katie are the perfect hosts and this apartment is the perfect place. A true gem. I would return and recommend it without hesitation. Having said all that I hope it is available when I decide to return!

We so enjoyed our getaway to this apartment. The apartment had everything needed for our stay as we cooked in each night. Very clean and neat. Comfy bed. Perfect area, Southern Shores. Quiet and relaxing but within minutes to restaurants and activities. The weather was very nice which allowed us to have two fires in the firepit (right on the canal) and two beautiful sunsets just down the road. We definitely recommend this rental for your "Perfect Getaway ".

Our recent stay here simply could not have been better! As noted above....everything was 5 star from the cleanliness to the ease of communication with John and Katie to the beautiful property and neighborhood- very tucked away yet so close to so much! We left relaxed and rejuvenated in every way and this property was such a huge part of that. Kudos to the owners for thinking of everything.😉👍

Such a great, clean and perfect place to spend the weekend. Our main focus was Duck, so we didn’t have to drive out on the main streets, but just drive through the amazing neighborhood that this place is situated in. Our hosts were amazing in communication and would recommend this property highly.

John and Katie were amazing hosts! Little snacks as you enter into the space. Vaulted ceilings, plenty of space to lounge and be with the "beach life". Space was super clean, all the needed little odds and ends for the kitchen, bathroom was awesome, bedroom was SUPER AWESOME! Sadly, we were not able to use the firepit as we hoped because of an unexpected thunderstorm. But I hope to be knocking at this door once again. Thank you so much J& K!

Over all the accommodations were great everything we needed. We mostly came to check out all the outer banks beach accommodations. Very nice and quiet as far as the neighborhood looks like a nice place to retire or live. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Cindy

We loved our 2 night stay at this property. This one bedroom apartment was very spacious. Decorated tastefully with a beach vibe, all while feeling "at home." Communication with the owners was easy and prompt. It was quiet and close to all the wonderful activities/beaches the Outer Banks has to offer. I would highly recommended this property!

Beautiful accomodations! Excellent location and easy access to dining and beaches.

My husband, Labrador retriever and I stayed for two weeks and loved the house. The location is fantastic with a short walk to the beach and to the restaurants and shops in Duck. We loved the neighborhood and made friends with the neighbors too :) The owner was very responsive and kind. We would definitely rent here again :)

Wonderful experience all the way around. The beach pass was great. Very close to all the sites and beaches. John and Katie were great hosts and kept in touch. Would highly recommend.

Great location in a quiet community. Great host, easy check in. New, very neat, clean, and comfortable. Perfect neighborhood for shaded morning walks. Short drive to beach, grocery stores, shopping, and attractions. We definitely recommend and we will stay here again.

The experience was fantastic, and the property (as well as the neighborhood) is gorgeous. It is a perfect area to relax, grab some easy food, or head to beaches nearby. Absolutely perfect place to stay and so happy we were able to!

Nice place kind of off the beaten path in the souther shores district. Having access to a private beach is a definite plus!
