Overall the house is nice, not a good fishing spot.

I never write bad reviews except to protect others from harm. Upon arrival lockbox key was missing, keyhole taped. Should have immediately contacted Evolve, canceled & found somewhere safer. Looked like an abandoned property in a sketchy neighborhood. Lawn was not mowed & there was a large red STOP WORK ORDER sign on the window mentioning possible noxious use. We called the manager, Roberto. He gave us a code that should have been supplied upon reserving. Reluctantly unpacked & tried to make the best of it. Anyone could have had the key to this house and come at any time. The back sliding door would not consistently lock. The mechanism was sprung. No curtains for the huge sliding glass doors. You had to use the tedious hurricane blinds which felt like a prison. AC took 4 hours to get from 80 to 76. It was sweltering. Contacted Roberto via text for garage door code. He responded. Texted him about the AC, the building inspector's Stop Work Order, & wifi code. No response. Over the next 2 hours we texted him with no reply. Text records of our interactions & photos of all the issues were sent to Evolve to open a case. The first 5 hours after a 10 hr drive spent trying to get things straightened out enough to sleep for the night in the most unsafe house we've ever been in. We tried to sleep, but the mattresses were awful. We did fall asleep for an hour but were awakened at 11:30pm by Roberto calling & texting that he could come over now! We replied that we were sleeping & would contact him in the morning. We have never felt more unsafe in a rental than we did here. Nothing was as advertised. The dock out back is unsafe for visitors with no railing around it (all other docks in that canal had railings because there are alligators). The worst part of this place was that it was unsafe for anyone to stay there. There were many other things, minor but annoying. Couldn't turn on kitchen light w/o sliding your hand between where the fridge is pressed against the switch. No fishing poles (promised 2 in the ad). Lights unplugged. Home alarm code given but told alarm was inoperable. If you're looking for a safe place to stay, RUN from this one. Got up at 5am & vacated. Settled on last available room at a motel & have to move again tonight for another room. Total disaster. Evolve rightfully refunded in full. Roberto texted after 9pm last night, waking us again now at our motel lying about the condition of the house as if it mattered at this point. BEWARE!
