Cozy, warm and secluded, this was the perfect getaway for us. Having a completely furnished and clean kitchen was definitely a plus. We loved using the fireplace. As my wife has mobility issues, a grab bar or two in the modernized shower stall would have been helpful to alleviate her safety concerns. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, updated, well appointed property perfect for a quiet family retreat. Lots of space, toys, comfortable beds. Indoor and outdoor fireplace, good kitchen, new laundry machines, great bathroom, and the remote work station was really helpful. We loved the quiet wooded setting, slept late, enjoyed lots of s'mores, a few movies, and cooking at the cottage. It was easy to settle in and feel like home.

We had a very happy and comfortable stay in July at this place. The location was ideal with proximity to the water and the town of Egg Harbor. The property is well kept and very well furnished, and easily the best equipped kitchen we've ever rented! Will definitely come back if we can

We were very pleased with our stay at this cottage. It is in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood in Egg Harbor but it is also close to all of the fun activities. We were there over the 4th of July and it was a great time to be in Door County. The house has everything you need and more. It was well-stocked for the 4 of us and we had absolutely no issues. There is no central A/C, so it did get a little muggy, but the bedrooms have very nice window units and they were more than adequate for sleeping. Overall a great house that I would be happy to rent again in any season.

This is a wonderful property! Short walk to lake, could have walked from town if needed. Cottage was clean and well-appointed (only tiny missing things that are usually in places we've stayed were salt and pepper and tupperware containers). The window in the shower overlooking the woods is really nice. The amount of firewood and supplies to make a fire and/or grill were exceptional. Thank you John for sharing your place with us and for the outstanding communication!

What a great property and location! The house was perfect for my husband and our two kids as we explored all of Door County. The location was close to the water and Egg Harbor downtown. It was so quiet! There was plenty of room for everyone inside and out and the fireplace was an added bonus. The house was well stocked and the hosts were fantastic and very easy to communicate with. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Door County!!

Very clean and nicely decorated. Extremely comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with all you need for pots and pans and cookware. Fit us perfectly. Has all the things needed for a nice getaway. Owner is very friendly and responsive ,eager to make sure we were comfortable. Would highly recommend this place. It is centrally located lots of things to do all around. Five stars from us.

This is a beautiful little house in a quiet neighborhood very near Egg Harbor. We really enjoyed our stay and being able to walk around the area and being so close to many activities.

The house lived up to all our expectations. Clean, well maintained, quiet neighborhood, very peacefull deck/ backyard and no surprises. It was close to the areas we wanted to see. Only issue we had was I had trouble figuring out the washer because it was brand new. John was quickly available and easily walked me through the controls on the phone. Had a great time and highly recommend the house.

John was a great host, one of the most communicative yet not annoying hosts I've ever stayed with. The house was mostly as described. The kitchen was stocked, though could use some better pots/pans, knives and plates. There were plenty of towels and washer & dryer if needed.
The location of the house was great. Close to town, close to the water, and even though this house is just two houses down from the main road - you do feel like you're in the woods. We were greeted by a couple toads when we arrive and then saw 5 deer in the front yard our first morning. We even watched a hawk across the street spend 4 hours enjoying a meal :)
My one gripe with this cottage was an overpowering "rustic" odor. For me it was just a little too much, for others it may not bother them.

John was a great host. He was prompt with communication, as well as thorough with instructions for caring for the property. The property itself is quiet and private. We enjoyed the provided firewood, and my kids appreciated the toys, games, and Wii on the rainier days of our visit. The beds were very comfortable. The house is stocked with all the essentials, and if anything more is needed, Egg Harbor is a five minute drive down the road. We hope to be back!

Really nice home with all needed features. Close to the lane and within quick drive to lakeside towns, Peninsula Theatre, drive-in and cherry picking. So fun.

Perfect Cottage

Great stay in Egg Harbor
We had a great time. The cabin is short drive or a bike ride from the beautiful Egg Harbor beach and downtown. The cabin was fully equipped with towels, kitchen supplies and whatever else one may need. Awesome place

Great home and neighborhood
A great property. The kitchen had all the basic cooking necessities. The shower is amazing and the neighborhood is nice and quiet and out of the way of tourist areas, but close enough to grab a great meal or cocktails without driving too far. Owner is very responsible to questions. The backyard is slice of heaven. Wood was provided and we had a nice fire while drinking our coffee, enjoying the sunshine and listening to the birds. We were very pleased with our time at this property.
