We know Fishguard very well. We had seen the cottage in our earlier explorations, and knew that it was well located. The garden was the best part of the cottage. It was very quiet and we were happy to 'migrate' from the upper terrace to the lower terrace (and listen to the birds). Good bathroom.

Despite our emails requesting the entry code, it was not sent to us. We stood outside in the rain making multiple phone calls until somebody was able to answer the phone and help us. While the linen and beds were fresh and clean, the house was very dirty - the coffee press still had grounds in it (as an example). A simple clean (and de-clutter) is all that it would take to make visitors happy (the cottage has really good potential, and has obviously been loved in the past). All of the large windows are painted shut, which could be a safety issue and a problem in summer. About 1/3 of the garden (including the summer house) was fenced off (no access), without any explanation. In addition, I cannot recommed the cottage if you are nervous around dogs.
