It’s an iconic hotel, been around for years, love my stay, just maybe time to change the carpet on the rooms, looking pretty dirty and old. Other than that I enjoyed my stay

Conveniently located, friendly staff, there’s no available area to sit in the lobby, the whole lobby is being used as restaurant during our stay, not sure if this was because of the holiday season

IT IS A GREAT HOTEL. It’s old I believe it was built in 1947 but it’s fantastic it has a very warm comfortable elegant feeling. We have stayed in many hotels in Manila but now My wife has said I loves it! She only wants to stay here from now on.

Fabulous accommodation and superb service as per usual. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Manila pen after being away from the Philippines for 10 years. My last visit was probably 2012 and until today, service is still impeccable. Keep it up!

Overall staff was attentive. I called the front desk and no one picked up.
Concierge was great as well as housekeeping and maintenance.
The room was cold and there is no window ventilation or heat.
The property is well maintained but outdated. The internet connection was slow.very few outlets.
I raised my concerns with the general manager and he said that because I booked thru an agency they should handle any issues with the property

We liked this hotel a lot. The Makati location is excellent. The bed was good, and the room comfortable and spacious. We loved the scent used for the amenities. It was my favorite of the past few years. The pool was quite good for swimming in the evenings and not crowded. I had a good massage at the spa too, and enjoyed the steam room. Breakfast was excellent. I think most people will be very pleased and I'm glad we stayed there. It's not quite my style though. There is live piano music in the lobby playing a lot of the time which we found a bit loud. The afternoon tea in the lobby was really delicious though. And so were the local dishes I tried. All around, a top hotel in the city.

Seamless service as always and that is what you can expect from Penninsula. But the hotel is an old one so if you like modern and trendy deco there might be some alternatives. Breakfast was actually not very good.

Rooms were great but the restaurant was terrible. It took forever for our food to come. I’ve heard the Halo halo was a must. I ended up canceling cause again it took forever and I had to an appointment for another venue.

It's a grand hotel with a gorgeous lobby.
But confused workers and poor service. Many mistakes. Must remind or instruct the workers.
Example, I booked on Expedia and paid. It takes 5-10 minutes to check in, and then the check in clerk asks me to pay for the room. They are not even trained enough to understand a fully paid reservation. Then the supervisor needs to come to fix. This is something very simple at check in.
No taxis or help, so if you are not a weathly local, it is a headache.

This hotel has always been top notch and I always enjoy my stay when visiting. Besides the standard comfort westerners expect when staying in a hotel, I always enjoy this place for the high-powered, hot and steady temped Showers; The large buffet breakfast with everything you'd want and made with high quality ingredients; and the gigantic swimming pool with waters 8-9ft in the deepest section.
Proximity to everything of importance tops it off. This hotel caters to the elite. Whether you are here on business or vacation, you are sure to enjoy your stay!

The Peninsula is still one of the best hotels in Manila in terms of food service and customer service. However, the rooms feel a little old and can use some updating. Otherwise, The Pen is still my top of mind if I need a hotel in Makati.

The gym was amazing with its size, up to date equipment and accessibility. Likewise, the spa and locker room was inviting, beautiful and convenient. The staff were always helpful and respectful.

It's our third time staying in this property. We had two adjacent rooms booked. The concierge took care of us even before we arrived and constantly communicated about our needs including transport from the airport. We will be back. We had a perfect stay - we enjoyed the pool, breakfast at Escolta (recommend that you do brunch in the hotel), my dad enjoyed listening to the piano player, and also the room was very comfortable. I would note though the service in the Lobby Bar, it felt like they were under staffed - we were seated, served our food, and then left alone, no one came to ask how were doing or if we needed anything else. This could be improved.

Nice hotel but decoration and furniture should be renovated as it looks quite 90’s style. Also Jeepney service was not operating which could have been such an amazing ride to experience and discover the city after work meetings.
