Hotel was overpriced due to a cheer competition held nearby. 286 dollars for one night stay. Was charged $25 dollar “early check in fee” 2 hours prior despite the room being well ready in advance. I spoke with another guest staying at same hotel who informed me they did not get charged this additional fee though they checked in at pm as well. I had two children with me so they were looking forward to swimming but found out the pool and hot tub were not running and wasn’t unable to use these facilities during our stay. Not to mention there was no parking available on the lot. We had to drive around for 15-20 minutes and wait until someone left the hotel to get a parking spot. It was absolutely atrocious for the price we paid! Disappointing isn’t even the word to describe it. We have stayed in much nicer hotels with pool and slides for a fraction of the price.

There appears to be some disconnect with housekeeping and the "making up of the room". While we have experienced the non-make-up practice of the room at other hotels due to prior COVID restrictions, we would suggest that this practice be addressed during the check-in process. Otherwise, the guest/housekeeping is left scrambling to have the room made up.

Chose to stay here for one night as it was close to an event that we were attending and it was great. We had a clean room, Complimentary toiletries, Pool and hot tub access, and the free breakfast was good too.

The restaurant was good and the staff was friendly. Originally booked a 1 queen bed room and it got changed to a 2 queens room. I was travelling with a toddler alone (female) and got put in a room with a door to the outside and had an adjoining room. This was not only what I would consider more on the unsafe side but VERY noisy as well. I was considering staying at the “extended stays” part but decided against it for this reason and had I known I would have just stayed there because they looked nicer and more updated. There was also kids running up and down the hall in the early morning which woke my toddler up. The bathtub had the pink bacteria build up that can be easily cleaned with a good cleaning spray and brush. The staff did allow me to check out an hour later which was appreciated and the room itself appeared clean.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the pool and hot tub was a nice extra! There aren't really a lot of dining options in walking distance so it was very convenient having a hot breakfast included with our stay. It's buffet style but there were plenty of staff around to make sure we had whatever we needed. Would definitely stay there again if we need to be in Truro overnight.

We got stuck in the Fiona storm and had to book a hotel at 2:00 am. The hotel reception faced difficulties processing our check-in smoothly, likely due to the late hour. After about 15 minutes of conversation with the manager, they had to rebook our reservation. The hotel, despite being old, did not seem to justify the price. On a positive note, the breakfast provided was satisfactory.

Floors were sticky in the room. People were very loud outside their room and in the rooms into the hallway moaning and banging. Good thing we didn’t have the kids to hear all the noise

It was a typical BW except that it had a restaurant which you don’t see to often which was convenient. The room was nice and pretty clean. Bed was way too soft as I like a more firm mattress but I slept ok. Where my room was located, near the elevator and stairs, it was a bit noisy at times; my earplugs came in handy. I also was a bit annoyed with parking. On Saturday night I almost did not find a parking spot and I am a paying customer. The lot was filled with guests for a big function. I am sure others had the same issue. I thought I was going to have to park off site somewhere which would have been very inconvenient. I am not sure how you fix this but it was not a good experience. The hotel itself is nice though so just keep the parking in mind when you go out as you may not be able to find a place to park when u come back.

There was mold starting in the. bathroom ceiling. Found some dead bugs and Pubic hair in the tub and on a blanket. There was absolutely NO parking available. We always stay here but now I think we will move on to another hotel after five straight yr of using ur services.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights 3 nights earlier. We were back for 2 nights before heading back to Ontario. We had an upper floor the last time, and this time, a ground floor in one of the wings. The room was just as great as last time, but the ground floor room had only a tiny window and a door to outside. There was no assigned parking in front of our door. Breakfast was still great. We would not want a room in this wing again, but would certainly take a main building room in a hearbeat, Great staff and wonderful breakfast.
