Horrific experience. A large drinking glass in the unused untouched bathroom exploded at 3:10 AM, spraying shards of glass all over the bathroom and out into the apartment area. I was offered a different room and no apology or compensation for a late-arrival night’s sleep lost. I’m still picking glass out of both feet, half a day later.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Loved the nightly wine hour and coffee in the morning. Would definitely stay here again!

We have happily stayed at Kimptons in Miami & Edinburgh & the St. George fell short of our expectations. It was totally inaccessible: impossible to find. And the desk person’s directions were confusing & unhelpful. And while everyone seemed to try very hard, the service was at times slow & inefficient. And there wasn’t enough of it. For eg. We were not told the valet service ends at 11 pm, which inconvenienced us. We did like the wine gathering from 5 - 6 pm & the decor was appealing. Also, the Annex location was excellent. We also appreciated the price. We would stay there again and hope things will be more “ship-shape” than they were.

Great location, public transportation close by. Short walk to lots of shopping and dining (high end). Friendly staff, very helpful. Nice bar within the property. Rooms big, clean comfortable. Second time here and very convenient for proximity to University of Toronto

Beautiful hotel with wonderful stuff

It was not the hotel’s fault that the Main Street was under construction starting at 7 am. But the hotel is a converted quality inn and lacks luxury. The attached restaurant had really rude staff for breakfast. We ended up switching hotels after one night. The front desk staff handled the situation professionally and politely.

I really enjoyed staying at the Kimpton Saint George. All of the staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had very interesting decor, and the room was clean and comfortable. (My only complaint was the shower having one of those weird half-walls, but they certainly aren't the only hotel to have this.) I felt the location was very convenient; it was just around the corner from the St. George subway stop, which connects to both of the main subway lines. There were also plenty of museums, shops, and restaurants within walking distance. When I stayed, there was construction going on outside the hotel which caused some re-routed sidewalks, but it didn't impede my ability to get to the hotel or anything else in the area. I would definitely stay here again next time I was in Toronto.

The location of this hotel is excellent for using public transit around the city.

The hotel is so cute and charming. All of the staff were so kind. Special shout out to Richard who brought my daughter Perrier at 3:30 in the morning because she wasn't feeling well!

Reasonably priced hotel in a market that is currently overpriced. Good service, quieter location (compared to downtown TO). No complaints.

Excellent hotel!

Excellent hotel; excellent staff. While we weren’t cramped, a bigger room would have been useful. In a similar spirit, there was relatively little counter space in the bathroom.

I last stayed at this hotel over 30 years ago when it was simply the Intercontinental. It has maintained its condition and is in a lovely location in Toronto near to cultural institutions and great shopping. The restaurant and bar in house are fine for convenience but there are not many good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Nice vibe in the lobby and attentive staff.

My family and I stayed at the Kimpton for 9 nights. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. But what sets the hotel apart is the excellent service. All the staff were great with my husband and I and our three children.

Good Location, Very limited service hotel & nice rooms. Disappointing arrival (thus overall) experience - No greeting/friendliness from doorman to reception staff. Basic etiquette of hospitality is making guests feel welcome. The Receptionist (I think “Khaled”) didn’t even bother to acknowledge or greet or look up from his computer. Last name was asked after which he proceeded to go back office for a while to check paperwork, he got back, without actually finishing up checking me in, proceeded to greet another guest & asked them if they needed their luggage. I get better service at coffee shop where they don’t skip you to another guest just because you have a complicated drink! Restaurant service was super slow although the server was nice atleast. Another staff who seemed like he helped with everything in hotel was the only other friendly & nice. Pillows are poor quality (i saw you can request “firm” pillows, but even basic pillows are poor). At checkout i wasn’t asked how my stay was, but i heard another staff asking another guest (clearly the reception already knew), & on way out too. Personally i will not be returning nor recommending this hotel to anyone.
