We found a bed bug in our room in the morning and they refused to even acknowledge it was in fact a bed bug and then as we were supposed to stay another night they offered to switch us into another room but had no plan of treating our belongings to make sure they hadn’t been affected. We opted to check out and they said we’d get a refund but I have to contact the third party(hotels.com) and have the third party(hotels.com) contact them to arrange the refund. I have little hope I’ll ever see the refund. Do not stay here!!!

WOW... and not a good wow. I have never been to a hotel that didnt even have a water dispenser in the ice machine room. No disposable cups for water from the tap even.... We had to walk across the street at almost midnight to buy a BOTTLE OF WATER from SUBWAY. How sad is it that you pay so much you cant even have a water bottle or paper cups in the room .... How was I supposed to even make the coffee.....? We had to take meds before bed... what a nightmare I will never stay there again this is just 1 of many wow moments at Travelodge.

this hotel is in a great location and the employees are fantastic !!! however is it so run down, its sad. at least its kinda clean

No-frills hotel. Very good location, with the lake close by and the very heart of Chicago at walking distance. Hotel is clean and bed was comfortable. Service was okay. I was there during St Patrick's and price was over the roof. I ended up paying 3x the normal room cost.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean and quiet, Cafe had good food, was walkable to train and buses.

So gross do not stay here. Carpets covered in stains of who knows what. Service is terrible took me an hour to check in. No iron in my room. The iron they brought up was covered in funk that seared into my shirt and ruined it. Horrible experience stay away.

The price is very good,but you get what you pay for. The trains are noisy, the room was cold (but it was very cold outside), and the room is clearly very old. The bedsheets were perfect but not the carpet. I would however stay there again, because the price was so good.

The bed was almos in the ground

It was a very cozy, very clean room, with free coffee in the room (very convenient for me!), steps away from where I needed to be, and with very kind staff. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms was tiny. The TV only had 2 channels. The window was broken. The room was old and outdated and dirty. There was constant banging from something metal outside onto the building which made it hard to sleep, along with the street noise. Convenient location to sightsee, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Property did not had my reservation. It was very very disappointed.

The checkin process was quick and efficient. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a small refrigerator in the room. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was clean and in good working order. The only complaint I had was there was a cold draft emanating from the windows and there was no way to control the temperature in the room.

Baggage storage was restricted to 2.45pm that was very poor and made my situation very inconvenient and difficult.

It was good not the best but no complaints great staff.

Check in process was fine. Seemed to be in a run down part of the city so wasn't sure about safety. Other stayers were loud, very out dated. The room was ICE cold (Legit 50-40 degrees). After asking the managers to switch rooms, they said they couldn't and "That's just how it is" without any additional help. Checked out the next day as heat is a very basic thing to supply in a hotel.

First off they advertise they have "parking available". That's not true. Your options are the street or the parking business across the street that charges $65 for the night. The street parking is free only until 8am. The place is very old and creepy but we were grateful that the bathroom and the bed were ok. The bathroom was clean. The bed had very thin covers, I thought I had reserved a king bed but it ended being a double bed. I don't know how that happened. The room is very small and have not mini fridge or microwave. The TV wasn't working well at first but with time it seemed to warm up and the sound system worked properly for the hour we had it on. It was very difficult to sleep through the night! The hotel is beside the train tracks and every 2,3,15 minutes the train passed by and it was so loud. The window had an AC unit and it was leaking cold air. Overall it was a very disappointing experience when the hotel it's supposed to be "by Wyndham" and not a Red Roof or something like it.

Great Location

Only complaint I have is the sound the heater makes warming up is loud and makes it hard to sleep.

Our stay was fine; booked primarily for the location and the price. Staff was nice at check-in and check-out, as was the security guard working the lobby. Room was ok - very dated, and smelled like smoke (even though a 'no smoking' room), but was clean. There was a 2" gap under the door that we sealed off with a towel for privacy and to reduce any hallway noise. Did appreciate the huge bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. Didn't have any issues during our stay, but would probably look to stay elsewhere in the future if prices were comparable.

Main issue was when I asked to check in early they did not give me any information. Instead they turned me away. Not offering to store my luggage or even to contact me when my room would be ready. Instead I was told to come at 3 Pm and not any earlier. My room was right in front of elevator and was noisy with few amenities.

Great place to stay. Close to downtown. Clean room and very helpful staff. Security at night. Aid parking across the street. Would stay again.

I checked in and when i checked out I was told I was out under no show- but still ran my $50 deposit. So they had no way of checking me out

Cleanliness is most important thing for me in any hotel. This travel lodge was very clean and smelled clean. The bathroom was spotless. Bathtub, sink & toilet very clean. The toilet paper holder was broke no big deal. Nice tidy comfortable bed. Nice size TV. We got early check in no problem. Use spot hero and find cheapest parking rates. We went to event at Buddy Guys Legends literally :3min walk. Safe. You can walk to millennium & Grant park easy. Anyway I will stay there every time I’m in area

the location is great but the room was not clean, smelt like a mix of smoke and mildew. surroundings are beat up.

Thought it was a bit newer but that’s ok.

Staff was very welcoming, the room had everything necessary with the exception of water temperature in the shower. It was either cold or excruciatingly hot. Please have someone fix this issue other than that. I will definitely come back for another stay!
