We kive staying here! Its worth the extra moneg to have the room with the harbor view and the large soak tub! The hot tub that is available is also amazing!

I stayed in the economy room and it was perfect. It had a frig (not on since it wasn’t being used and to conserve electricity), all the reg hotel things but it also had table space to make coffee/sammy/etc and another table space to work on my computer. Bed was comfy. Everything was clean and quiet although it was off season so I assume it would be louder when it’s really packed.
Location was perfect for the spit and only a short drive to town.
The staff was extraordinary. So kind and helpful. They were the best part

Nice place to stay. Cons - no Breakfast service and you have to sign up for pool or hot tub, so if it is crowded you might not get a slot. Another if you get the town houses you are not connected to hallways to the front area, so it is an outside walk or drive after pool/hot tub use.
Place is kept up for an old hotel.

Had to wait for a bit at check in but other than that fabulous trip!

Staying at Land’s End was delightful. The beauty at the end of the Spit in Homer is so remarkable. The views from the rooms and the dining area is so peaceful. We enjoyed the sauna and pool. Our room had all the amenities we like in a resort stay at an incredibly competitive price. We will come back often.

Land's end was perfect for our trip, views were fantastic, especially at sunset. The restaurant was very nice and food tasted great, the manager and waitresses were awesome as well.

Our room and view towards the bay and mtns awesome.

It was a nice location, clean area. there ended up being a conference there so there was a lot of younger people hanging around the premises including outside smoking in multiple areas so that was unexpected but in general it was quiet. I am a soft bed person so the very firm bed was terribly uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well for three days and it caused a lot of back and hip pain. I would not pay peak season price for this standard room (but with a great view).

This is an awesome property in a great location. Staff was very nice and helpful

The property was a bit dated but very clean. You can’t beat the hotel spot—it’s the end of Homer Spit, so you’re surrounded by the water.

I liked the view from the room and it was such a good experience spending a night there in Homer. Since it was located at land's end (literally), I was able to see a lot of star in the middle of the night. The room was clean and the staff was awesome.

The room was super comfy and well decorated, the view from the room was spectacular and the staff was friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay here again when visiting Homer.

Thank you. After driving the 2400 miles from Washington State and rolling the dice every night on what to expect from your sleeping arrangements, The Lands End was extraordinary! Welcoming staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, excellent restaurant and a view that took our breath away. Thank you.

Excellent water front view!
The room was comfortable. Two separate rooms was great for our family with kids.
Loved the waterfront hot tub area!

Land's End is at the end of Homer Spit and, as such, has an incredible view. The room was beyond nice, with a walk out deck and access to the beach area. My negatives concern the food service. I was not made to feel welcome for dinner, and the restaurant was closed for breakfast.

Very nice hotel at the end of the Lands. The room is clean, quiet, cozy with spacious and great views

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, quiet, and had a wonderful view. Best part of our Alaska vacation.

The room is very clean, and staffs were very nice, but there is some inconvenient to stay at the second floor since only one door had elevator. Additionally, it didn't provide breakfast, even free coffee.

The hotel is literally at the end. It had a nice deck to sit and watch the inlet. The room clean and beds comfortable. We did not try the hot tub or restaurant. You are not far from the shops or restaurants.

Great location with beach access. Old style interior decoration, but very well kept and maintained.

Beautiful setting. Nice outdoor hot tub, warm sauna. Stopped in at the Chart House for a drink and the Bartender was a jerk. Rude, not responsive, complained about his 12 hour work day, etc. Stayed 20 minutes, no drinks with ZERO people at the bar. Down right stupid enough to question why we were leaving. It's VERY CLEAR this person should not be in the service industry and I'm sure every water, waitress and hostess at this place knows the truth about this person. Speak up! Good hotel if management will do its job.

Land's End is always a unique and beautiful experience, even when it rains almost all day! The unit we stayed in was in great condition, although as someone who likes to cook, I would suggest stocking the kitchen with better utensils *pots, pans, etc.). You can't beat the Home Spit for beauty and relaxation.

Rooms were old, small, noisy and dingy. Food and Bar were excellent but hotel amenities are non-existent. Not really a resort at all.

The hotel section we were in was very old and did not match

Lands End offers a number of room options at the end of the Homer Spit. Though the immediate surroundings driving in may be a bit of a mess (gravel, construction sites, cranes, and general harbor chaos) the property faces the Katchemak Bay and Katchemak State Park. THIS is why you'll choose Lands End.
I'll start with the room, since I've already described the "facing" view on arrival. (It's not much to look at from that side):
Room was dated, but well kept and clean. Bed and bedding were nice, as was having a refrigerator. Coffee is surprisingly good for a hotel packet (bonus for being a local Alaskan roast!). Room was spacious (I had a king studio) and the shower is great. No issues with hot water - it gets hot quickly and stays hot, with good water pressure. Another plus is the Homer City Water - which is FANTASTIC!
Amenities are minimal. You can get coffee and creamer (real creamers - just ask) and use of the mini fridg and that's about it.
The view. That's what makes it. Sitting in one's room looking out over the bay, with the birds, sea otters, boats and views across to the mountains and glacier across the way... That's it. That's what you;re paying for, that's why you're staying here. And believe me - it's worth it.
Nightly walks on the beach, photos from your balcony, easy parking...
it's just all about the view

Check in time is 5pm, too late.

Great location and spectacular views. Room was clean and cozy; however, there’s no ability to control the room temperature which was hot. Front desk staff were average in terms of customer service and friendliness. Check in time of 5pm is late and many people kept checking to see if their room was ready.

The room was excellent. We were not told in advance that you needed to make a reservation for the small pool, so the kids were let down.

Paid extra for outdoor hot tub experience per ad & found out you have to book days in advance

We asked to use different credit card at check-in and they said they got it, but when we checked out, it already charged on the original credit card.

Amazing stay! We loved it very much. Beautiful amenities, fabulous food, and super friendly staff.

I booked 2 rooms for the end of July for 4 nights through the Expedia website.
We got rooms in the old, unmaintained part of the hotel.
The rooms were very small and the bed was narrow and not suitable for 2 adults. The room was suitable for a single person.
There is no room service for the entire period, and we had to clean and empty the bin by ourselves every day, and we also had to ask for towels and soaps every day.
For the amount of $312 per room per night including taxes I would expect to get a much more comfortable and large room, not old, with a bigger bed and better service.
Next time I will not return to this hotel.
By the way, we asked to change rooms, but they answered in the negative because that's what you ordered through Expedia..........

What a view from our bedroom. Rooms really small, but comfortable and view worth it!

We were very disappointed with this property. And the management's organizational ability was horrible. Our check-in at the front desk was a mass of confusion and the manager on duty seemed rather unfriendly, and a somewhat impatient. We had specifically requested a particular room - in advance - and when we arrived we ended up in a room that wasn't as we had expected. We had to extend our stay, for business reasons, but we weren't able to remain in our original room. Management moved us to another building off-property and it was really bad; noisy, on the ground floor, with building structural components right outside our room, and continuous foot traffic right in front of our room windows. We were VERY uncomfortable in that situation. All in all it was a huge disappointment and we won't be back.
