This is an old property but it was clean. Our toilet would not shut off at times.

They need to upgrade the windows and the heat source. It was cold in the hotel

Excellent classic hotel charm. Can’t beat the views of Rideau canal etc. It’s just a little broken up in parking lot. Old property. Not unsafe. Highly recommend.

Nice place with balconies on the water for the price and for an older building. Elevators are small for when the traffic is high checking in. But all in all, decent place

Beautiful location! A little dated but clean and comfortable...Very reasonable rates. The only negative would be the condition of the balcony, as the pigeons like the area, too!!

The hotel appears to be a former apartment building. The room was large with basic amenities (mini-fridge & microwave) as well as a big balcony overlooking the river if you get a room on that side. It’s quite dated but appeared and smelled clean. Steps away from the main street and multiple restaurants (Sagar was delicious).

The photos do not represent the reality. The hotel looks like its abandoned from the parking lot. The elevator smells like mold and is dirty, the corridor was dingy and my room was dated with old furniture including the bed. Looks like it was last updated in the 80's - bathroom was gross and the TV was tiny and did not work.

Has potential with its location by the water but it feels like the hotel hasnt been upgraded or cared for since the 1960s. Lots of questionable characters sauntering around the parking lot. It's a solid 2 star hotel experience.

Roim smelled. No housekeeping for towels or coffee. Bo chair on balconies or by the qater outside.

The ambience and the property is spacious. Only thing they could improve is the decor from the outside as it appears quite old.

The hotel is in need of repair but was clean at least we thought. I checked the bed for bed bugs when we arrived and found nothing. Unfortunately after returning from breakfast we found at half a dozen bugs. We cut our trip short and left immediately.

The property is ok if you are on a budget family or business kind of setting. On our stay our electricity was suddenly turned off after using a microwave. When I called the front desk they fixed it after several minutes when I asked what happened they replied saying do not use some of the appliances or electricals all at the same time. How can we not use the lights or the fridge when using the microwave since on those days it was paid. The fridge does not have any cold option it took overnight to chill Some bottles of water. They need to upgrade their wirings, fuse and several paint jobs inside and outside of the building. Breakfast is all basic bread, muffin, cereal, oatmeal, bagel. Drinks coffee, tea and juice inside the fridge theres milk, creamer, yogurt and cream cheese pls. Do not expect a good set of waffles, eggs, and fruits. On my opinion this is from Sept. long weekend 2023 I might not want to go back in this property again.

Building was old, dirty and falling apart

This hotel needs a make-over and new mattresses. It was clean except for the majority of the windows. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 1 night. Room and location was perfect for what was needed.

This place is in need of a proper renovation. Very dismal all around. Huge space below my door to the hallway. I will not be back.

Room was okay other than the bathroom fan did not work and the balcony was full of bird poop. The balcony is great for smokers I guess, but unfortunately we had a strong odour of pot in our room presumably from our neighbour. Breakfast was disappointing - basically just toast, bagels, and yogurt. The hotel is right on the canal and one of the locks is visible so that was neat but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Our disappointment was with the shower head that beat the water at you. It was not a nice shower . The toilet had a hard time to flush a fart. The baseboard was off the walls. The room was very dated?

Although the building has clearly seen better days, the interior is well-kept, the room spacious and clean, and it is in a good location for a very reasonable price.

There was a weird smell in the room. We had to buy the spray to eliminate the smell. The doors are poorly constructed. We had to slam the room door everytime we close the door . We could not close the bathroom door. There are pigeons in the balcony. So the balcony was dirty and they made a noise there. The long distance drivers stayed there and they made a lot of noise in the balcony, in their room and in the hallway by talking loud, come and go to each other's room, drink alcohool together....

Hasnt been renovated since smoking was banned in Ontario . Cigarette burns in old carpet on the bathroom counter , walls had holes or rough drywall patch not painted , maybe six tv channels , balcony in disrepair, bed didnt match the head board , and free breakfast was coffee and a muffin .. It is what it is .......

Dirty and smelled funky. Stains in the hallway carpets. Room was ok except for not thoroughly cleaned. Dirt on baseboard tops. Not a great neighborhood

Not a good location. Dirt in the corners of the bathroom. Stairways were very dirty and poorly lit. No markings on the parking lot. Bed was good but not so much for the pillows. Not good a value forthemoney.
