Great stay. We had the 1st floor, next to pool. The patio is wide open, and you can walk directly to pool. Perfect for differently abled individuals who need flat surface access to pool. Staff was helpful, cheerful, and kind. Room was clean and comfortable.

Pros: The view from the back patio is lovely, the breakfast attendant was very nice, there are some great dining options and local attractions within easy driving distance.
Cons: The bathroom sink did not drain properly, the shower stopped running multiple times in the middle of my shower, you can clearly hear the room next door and I mean CLEARLY.
Overall this hotel has nice staff but obviously needs some work.

This was our second stay at this property. As the first time, we found it to be exceptional! The professional and friendly staff, the clean and comfortable rooms, a peaceful and serene river view and a fantastic breakfast bar, to include both hot and cold selections. It's hidden away and is easily accessible to highways and a smaller town for restaurants and eateries. Highly recommended.

Been staying at this same hotel for several years. I was always very happy . This trip they had alot of renovations going on. Got a room on the second floor that had alot of renovations been done. Strong odors of paint or
Glue in hallways. I think all hotels should have to have a notice for the listing that renovations are on going n some dust will be expected. The girl taking care of the breakfast was great. Clean and organized.
Also noticed at breakfast the chairs are long over due for new ones. Staff is always great but a little disappointed this last stay.
I will be back since it is located exactly mext to where im building my vacation home.

The rooms were comfortable. The lobby was really nice. The view in the back by the river is beautiful. There is a nice pool and workout room. The breakfast was very good.

Dirty. Outdated rooms. Horrible service at reception. Dirty room with an awful moldy smell. Shower head and bathroom vanity could use some deep cleaning. Never had room cleaning during our stay. The breakfast was below average, however, the old lady in the breakfast area was very helpful and polite (the only person out of all the staff we interacted with) The location was good, nearby little shops and restaurants. Overall, it was a very unpleasant 4 day stay. Im not sure if this review will help improve the service at this property. However, at least it could help others get mentally prepared with what they will encounter.

We checked in a few minutes past 5. Our room was not ready. Two ladies were cleaning it. Waited 20 minutes to get in room.

Wonderful place to stay especially if you have a room facing the river. Very nice staff and very clean. Good breakfast too

The hotel was very nice, included breakfast was delicious, and the river was beautiful. However, the location is very misleading and there is none of the typical literature left in hotel rooms telling you of local attractions and restaurants. Make sure if you stay there, you look past tiny Dillsboro to the next town (which is literally right across the bridge) for a very charming downtown area and a lot more options for restaurants and shops.

The swimming pool is Wonderful, and we love our Family time swimming . The view of the Tuckaseegee River. This was our 22nd annual visit coming to stay aft eta riding the Polar Express.

Driving passed the tracks to the place looks sketchy but the hotel is beautiful and clean, and the rooms are new and spacious. Has plenty of amenities and very polite staff!

Rooms definitely need thoroughly cleaned. Mildew smell when entering the room. Bedding is terribly uncomfortable. Mattress is very soft and pillows are lumpy. Sheets were stained. Top of headboard looks like it hasn't been dusted in a year. The lights in the bathroom are very dim. Hard to see.

The hotel was clean and felt safe. We got a river view room and it was stunning! We enjoyed sitting on the patio for morning coffee and enjoyed the fire pit with a drink by the river. We will be back and I definitely recommend!

The area and views were great. The room was very peaceful and the bed is extremely comfortable. I dis have a problem with the shower/tub combo. There are no grab bars and the shower/tub floe was quite slippery. As a result I was only brave enough to take one shower and my wife would not go into the shower/tub.

The room smells really musty. The location and grounds are beautiful. For the price we paid, I did not expect a musty smelling room. The staff was friendly and courteous.

It started great with a clean car parking area, welcoming reception and a great view over the river.

Clean, nice, comfortable hotel room. We enjoyed the outdoor scenery. We were wishing we had tried to get a balcony room, but we had a great stay. It was nice to be within walking distance of some great restaurants and the cute downtown area. Next time we'll come when the rates are a little lower because we came during a busy time and felt we overpaid.

Beautiful setting on the river, nice hotel, close to town and great restaurants. Overall, clean and tidy; did find a stain on the bed sheets and on the comforter. I was disappointed because I booked this room on the premise that they have a hot tub and pool but they were both very cold. There was a hot breakfast and everything was good except the eggs. They have a Nescafe machine in the lobby and Keurigs in the rooms. There is a common deck overlooking the river and a fire pit with seating. I would stay here again.

We would appreciate key access at the doors entering the pool area. Re-entering is currently locked requiring users to go around to hotel entrance.

A truly lovely hotel. The scenery and overall environment are beautiful, the staff friendly (we had a clerk named Lydia, I believe, when we came in late at night who was especially welcoming). The hotel is well-kept, the breakfast is good. A very very good deal if you are traveling in the Smoky Mountains area.

We were originally assigned to a very musty smelling room. The smell hit you like a brick wall when walking into the room from the hallway. I asked to be moved, and the lady at the front desk immediately knew that that room was musty. I'm not sure why we were assigned to a room with an existing issue. We were moved to a still musty, but much less smelly room beside the elevator and directly across from the ice machine. It was a noisy night/early morning. If not for the river access, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - and likely won't be returning.

The place was really quiet. Check in was painless. Quick and professional. Thanks to Meredith. The best part was this pace was next to a river. It was extremely calming to us. Decent breakfast and the people who worked there was very friendly and caring. Pool and Jacuzzi was decent.
