This hotel felt fresh and new and was very comfortable with easy wheelchair access. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The layout of the twin room we stayed in was perfect as the main part of the room was spacious and open with the second bed in a smaller room at one corner with it's own tv so each person had a bit of privacy. The accessible loo was amazing with a huge wet room shower area with a seat. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel was better than expected from its star rating. Good facilities with good choice of meals. Only issue was that the shower was never hot enough.

Can’t fault any aspect of this hotel. Staff are friendly and attentive. Rooms are of high standard as is bar and restaurant area. I would stay again without hesitation

The property had been significantly upgraded since my last visit and the rooms all those small are fashionable and very comfortable. The staff was great and the food in the dining room delicious.

Location was perfect. Hotel not so much. Staff was good as was the food. The room was awful due to the excessive noise coming from rooms around and above me. I might as well been in the shower of the person above me, I could hear the water so clear along with the squeaking of the floorboards. Could also hear them peeing like they were in my room! Room was excessively noisy and kept me awake at times so won’t stay here again.

The Caledonian was totally fine! We're glad we got a room there--Ullapool is beautiful and it's a great location. We didn't feel like there was anything special about the hotel but it worked for our needs. Best thing we did was walk down the road to the pub at the Arch to see live music

The hotel overall was fine but first thing in the morning we were woken at 7am by music and banging from workers at the side of the hotel, we overlooked the car park. Good good. We found it overpriced for what we had.

Good apart from noise from room above, especially the very creaky floor.

Good location, staff friendly and helpful and a comfortable room. Shower pressure however was not good. Ample parking. No freshly made porridge nor fresh fruit amongst breakfast choices- breakfast all self service.

the location was just right for me all the shops close by as well the boat trips and as i was on a motorbike the right place to start of from

Rooms refurbished hence good. Needs improvement- no place to hand clothes in bathroom, no soap stand near shower, WIFI is REALLY BAD.. hardly ever connects, NO elevator Good- refurbished clean rooms, friendly helpful staff

The Caley restaurant, while adjacent, is not part of the hotel. You must make reservations or they WILL turn you away. However, good news--the Argylle Hotel has a great pub for dinner. Hotel was a good value find.

Previous reviews on the property were not that great when I booked, but when I arrived hotel had been recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. Staff extremely friendly and the optional breakfast was buffet style full Scottish options and traditional. Very good! Ullapool very small so everything is short walk along water. Beautiful!. Only thing I didn't like is the seagulls in the area screech all night long. Not hotel's fault for sure but bring earplugs! Good ones! Had to have windows open too as it was a bit warm days I was there which made it worse. Overall very enjoyable stay especially for the price.

My room was so dark that you had to put main light on when you entered

Room was small with separate ensuite. ( shower base was smooth & slippy. Relaxing bar area. Reception staff very pleasant.

Roooms although modern and well equipped are quite small. The TV system is poor with a remote control that is slow in response and hard work. It’s a long walk to some of the rooms and there are three floors and no lift.
