Expensive place and expensive feel all the way until the continental breakfast. It was very underwhelming for a $400+ per night hotel. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. I did express my disappointment about the breakfast and was only apologized to at first. I had to press more to finally have my resort fee reimbursed, but that amount didn’t even match the $40 I had to spend elsewhere in Chatham for the breakfast that we should’ve been able to enjoy.
The creamer was curdled, there wasn’t one fruit, no proteins, the yogurts were room temp, the main “dishes” were low end cereal bars.
Wish I could leave a better review, but that breakfast was so disappointing, and the lack of concern about it from the staff also left me wanting to try another venue before ever rushing back here to stay.

The hotel was nice, BUT, the room was not ready at 3:00 PM and we had to take a different room in order to change to make a 4:00 PM appointment. Also, the "Breakfast Included" was rather underwhelming......packaged waffles, no de-caf coffee, etc...The location is great, but the price isn't worth the facility.

This is a quiet and friendly spot right on the Main Street of Chatham. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently undergoing more renovation so that the restaurant can reopen in the spring. Having the hotel restaurant open will make the site even more appealing.

There was note the hotel was under major renovations
It was ok restaurant was closed but around 6:00 the
Hotel became noisy not sure staff or workmen
at 8:00 the machine tools started operating
Went to breakfast which was included this also
disappointing I have traveled extensively and the breakfast
to minimal in value some fundamental condiments missing

Lovely Hotel. Good location. Clean. We had plumbing problem in our room which was inconvenient and time consuming but they moved us to upgraded room. Food was reasonable. Some staff great (Elise) others even at reception on checkin were mildly welcoming.

This is a charming, quaint place and the staff was very nice. It is right in the heart of town so very convenient for shopping and restaurants and location is what you pay for because even in the off-season it was quite pricey per night and very basic accommodations. Clean and quaint though.

Great hotel and location is really great for walking around town and to the beaches. Room was small but comfortable and everything was clean and well taken care of. Would stay there again.

The location was very good---a nice walk to the beach to see the seals. There are many shops for shoppers. The Inn has a quaint feel to it. It's nice that they offer bicycles to ride.
The staff members in cafe and inn weren't always friendly. The breakfast was late several mornings.

It is a beautiful property, very clean, with access to business in the main street. Parking is very convenient. There is a nice restaurant in the lobby where you can eat good seafood. All in all, the best option in downtown Chatham.

The Chatham Wayside Inn met all of our expectations and even more. All of the staff were kind, courteous and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The location for shopping and restaurants was fabulous!! The parking was easy; and most of the time, we were able to walk to our destination. We are planning on visiting again next year. Amanda, at the front desk, was always very helpful!! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Was a clean property and there was a lot of nice shops on the road. Staff was very nice and caring. Only gripe was the room itself. The mattress was kind of worn out,and the pillows were bad. They would flatten to pancakes once you laid on them. Also there was a lot of 1AM noise from drunk bar goers right outside the window, but i guess that is out of the Inn's control.

Over $500/night during high season bought me a room on the lower level, with no desk, sketchy wifi, and an extra $30/day “destination fee” which covered a small continental breakfast (not from the kitchen). I’ve spent less money on a better experience. Basically paid for location for a few days.

What didn't we like about the Chatham Wayside Inn? It is a perfect quaint inn in a perfect location if you like being close to the shops and restaurants in downtown Chatham. Our room was spacious and charming with modern walk-in shower. The staff is amazing! They could not have been lovelier. I highly recommend this hotel when you are in the Chatham area.

It was just ok, nothing special but with a relatively steep price tag. I was pretty surprised that I had informed them of my husband and I celebrating our 36th Anniversay and we didn’t get so much as a note saying congrats. We travel every year on this day and almost ALWAYS receive at least a bottle of wine. There isn’t much attention to details here. The pool area is very basic and doesn’t even have an option for cold water. As a data point, I’m a platinum member on Expedia…we travel the world a lot. They should do better imo.

The hotel is superbly located in the center of Chatham within walking distance to all shops on Main Street. The hotel is very well decorated and cozy. The room is also very cozy and very well equipped. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The breakfast is typical but good.

Bathroom cleaning want not completed: i.e. Trash not emptied. Dirty towel on sink. Margee was extra helpful and took care of everything ASAP but that was really bad to walk into your hotel room exhausted and seeing a dirty bathroom.
Breakfast buffet had green bananas and pretty mediocre fruit selections overall. It's these little things that really irk me. Just a little extra effort would make such a big deal. You are paying a lot for these rooms and you do expect a certain higher level of things.
Dinner at the Tavern was fine and yes, overpriced, but overall good. Service was fine, definitely not outstanding.
Good thing Margee was around, so pleasant!
