Comfy hotel with central location in the Veluwe region. Very nice breakfast (in Coranaproof version). The in-house restaurant is was a positive surprise. The rooms are spacious but a little loud in the morning due to heavy traffic on the main road.

We have been here 4 to 5 times now. Actually from the very start, 12 years ago, since now. Over time there was a big downfall in service and hospitality. Also in amenities, however that is fine, it is happening everywhere else. But service and hospitality makes the difference between 4 to 5 stars.
I don't want to complain about all the issues that happened, but the most impressive - and also hilarious one - is that they did not want to provide a corkscrew. 'There was not such item in the hotel'. You should have in mind that there is a big bar in the hotel as well as a restaurant. Please be straight to your customers: if you don't want to have people drinking wine at their private terrace make that clear in your statements. Handing a letter saying that you want to do your utterly best as management to comfort your guest doesn't resonate with this cheap trick.
Normally I would not put effort in a review, however, together with the very bad experience in the room I now will put a review online, hopefully to create better experiences for further guests. It is not a cheap dump there. The first photo shows you a dirty toilet. Some dirt on the wall, next to the toiletpaper. The other photo shows you a whole in the wall. the last photo is taken in the shower. Water doesn't find a way other then moving into the bathroom. This happend also the last time.....

Hotel is very nice and personnel is friendly.
The problem I had is with the severe lack of proper lighting.
Use of LED fixtures is admirable but does not work for every location.
Bathroom lighting is deficient. Some stairway lighting is also
insufficient for safe decent.
Bathroom door (at least in my room) does not open sufficiently.

This is a lovely hotel located in the middle of a forest. There are not a lot of shops or restaurants around it.
The room was very large with a big bathroom. I stayed in winter and the room was very warm.
The clean was good, although one day they took all the cups from the room and didn't replace them. You also need to ask if you want your minibar stocked.
Breakfast is lovely with your eggs and sausage/bacon cooked fresh for you. Dinner in the bar was also nice (game focused menu).
Staff were very attentive to my needs and moved my room when requested. The room facing the highway can be a bit noisy though the staff did say this stops over night, but I thought why take the risk when they had plenty of rooms facing the woods.

Kindly staff. Good location. Perfect view. No minibar. No water. No lunch. No dinner. You must go to center to eat something. Breakfast was ok.

This is supposed to be a Hotel gastronomic, but the dinner service was so slow, that it took 45minutes to get a menu, and after 2 1/2 hours the main course of a 4 course dinner was still not served...As we could not get the attention of our waiter who we later found in the foyer, we gave up and left. So we never had our dinner..! Disastrous.

I am a frequent business traveler and I have seen my fair share of hotels around the world. This one stands out because of its smaller size, friendly staff and perfect location if you like tranquility and a beautiful forest setting and lots of crisp, clean forest air.

Everything about the hotel was great: service, comfort of the room, location on the doorstep of great walking and cycling routes. We had a room overlooking the road and there's no denying it: you hear the birds as well as the cars. But we felt that everything else overshadowed this (and yes I normally hate noise!). The bed was extremely comfortable and having a bath looking at the tip of the trees was very relaxing! The staff were extremely helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. The food was delicious both breakfast and tasting menu for dinner including paired wines. If we're back in the area we will definitely
go back.

Lovely hotel. Third time I have stayed here and I specifically choose it because it has an away from it all feel but is quite close to the town of Apeldoorn (which also has a quieter feel to it that than the big cities of The Netherlands). This area of The Netherlands is particularly attractive, with a forest and woodland feel which is a little reminiscent of parts of Germany/Scandinavia that I have stayed in. The hotel is surrounded by trees on all sides. The rooms are very well appointed, well kept, clean and comfortable, with pleasant views of the surrounding forest. Parking is easy and free. The bar and restaurant have good ambience and excellent food. The only negative thing about this hotel for me is that it is not located close enough to very many of the business customers I visit in The Netherlands. I wish this place was within 50km of Rotterdam!

The setting was beautiful, right in the Forrest near the Palace grounds. The hotel was easy to find. The landscaping and outside amenities were lovely. The restaurant food was delicious and the service, everything I could ask for.I would highly recommend this hotel!

My husband and I spent two nights in this hotel. Great surroundings with ample opportunities to take long hikes. We thoroughly enjoyed the luxurious dinner, excellent food! The bed was comfortable and the wellness area was also very nice! I forgot my hairdryer and the front desk employees were extremely helpful in quickly returning it!
However, we were less amused by a number of issues related to the rest of our stay:
- The make-up mirror in the bathroom was broken. We told the reception about this, they promised to fix it but never did.
- Most electricity outlets seem broken. We told the reception but no action was taken to amend this.
- One coffeecup in the room was extremely dirty. While this can happen it SHOULD not happen in such an expensive hotel. upon complaining, while I did receive a clean cup the word "sorry" was apparently too hard to say...
- Bed linens are only 50% cotton, remaining 50% POLYESTER. unacceptable.
- I would have appreciated more than two hooks for towels and clothes. Also, a full body mirror seems to be part of the minimal requirements for such anexpensive hotel.
- Room was clean until about 1m60, above that there were lots of dust balls.
- Loose cables surrounding all electric appliances. doesn't make for a very cosy feel.
- Wifi is VERY slow.
- Bluetooth speaker or at least alarm clock should be part of standard equipment for a hotel like this.
The price just did not match quality at this place.

Fresh nature all around. Wild animals in the Royal Dutch Forest. Good diner and excellent design. All this is for a good quiet and relax holiday.
