Bath room not up to scratch. We have stayed before COVID 14 times all OK then. Great location.

staff were polite and friendly position to beach and shopping ex does need a good upgrade overall we were satisfied with our stay we had friends with usthey had to change rooms 3 times

Don't know when they last spent money on this place. Run down. Broken tiles in the pool. Hot water takes forever to get hot. Needs a good coat of paint. Breakfast not hot. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Staff were wonderful, some of the rooms could do with a bit of an update but overall loved staying at the Melasti. Would recommend to other travellers.

The staff were loving and wonderful people never had a problem with anyone there whenever I needed something they were always there to be at my service and help me in anyway they can I will for sure come back again. Kostadinoff family.

The location amazing, staff very friendly, breakfast was efficient, the pools are good. If you are after a resort without all the trimmings, this is it. It's run down and needs a lot of work. Some days we wouldn't have enough towels provided and it would take all day for any request to be met, there's also huge H&S red flags with wires hanging around the place, the balconies have a gap wide enough for someone to fall through (we had 2 kids and were on level 3) so had to heavily barricade this area ourselves. I hope someone spruces the place up because it has a lot of potential. The cottages out the front seem a lot nicer. Personally we won’t stay again but met a lot of families who come back religiously so there is a market for those who don't mind this sort of accom.

Resort is run down. Service from staff at reception was very slack. The breakfast was average. Would not stay again.

Property is good value for money. While we were there it was very evident that a lot of work is being done. We stayed in a suite and the rooms are massive. The bathrooms definitely need some refreshing and then these rooms would be amazing. You could see then working through rooms one by one doing bathroom works so perhaps request an updated room. The location is great; beach at the front with beach bars and warungs and shopping and restaurants at the back. Two swim up bar areas. Pools could also do with some work but water is clean and warm. Overall a good place to stay and will be amazing when the work is complete.

Home away from home. Older style resort. Bathrooms could do with a little modernising, but other than that, couldn't fault it. Staff are so friendly. The squirrels are adorable. And the location is central to everything. 20/10! Loved it!

Great location, Breakfast average to good - room maintenance poor. Very low water pressure in shower- probably calcification issues..Second Pool out of order for 3 days All said and done for the price- Can't complain- You get what you pay for

Fantastic location. Good value for the price (au$67 per night in delux cottage). Great to see a lot of work happening around the venue to rejuvunate it.

They need to spend money updating bathrooms and a coat of paint in the rooms, I had to pay an extra $20 a night because what you show for what I paid wasn’t the same 👎👎disgusting, they are spending money outside in the grounds and the rooms should be their priority, every person we spoke to had the same problem.

Property is a great location on the beach shops and restaurants are walking distance and the staff are great. Myself and my family had a lovely stay and will be definitely staying again

The standard rooms and area they are located is very old and needs updating, if you are just after a room to put your head then it is great. It is very loud until midnight with music. Although it is cleaned each day and they work hard to keep it clean it looks dirty from age. The staff around the property are very friendly, the staff at reception are not friendly, they do not make you feel wecome and do not feel approachable. The pools are great. Breakfast great for the price. It is in a great location, close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. You get what you pay for.

very run down

I have stayed at the Melasti many times but this time was disappointing. Due to nearby venue very noisy at night until very late. people in the superior rooms were forfeiting their rooms to stay in standard rooms in an attempt to get a decent night sleep but still noisy at the other end of the hotel. Not the fault of hotel staff and they did what they could to help but even with earplugs the noise was unbearable

Beautiful traditional stay in old time resort. Very comfortable and an outstanding breakfast. The resort is a little ‘tired’ in areas needing some refurbishment, but not a problem.. the room cleaning staff need to be more thorough in their job. Three mornings with no water supplied and three mornings with no towels left in the room. I did go and get what I needed but it should have been done. I would stay again.

our first night was 1-2 star in room allocated us nothing like what you showed us on your advertising had to pay more for a upgrade which was about 3 star 1st room was dirty had not been cleaned with dead cockroaches on the floor. the staff were very good and understanding in our concerns I blame yourself and Expedia for your false advertising and would very much like an apologue or we will never use your services again and not recommend you to our friends and relatives

The property is in prime location . But the buildings are old bathrooms need to be refurbished pool tiles are needed to be replaced .

The room I was allocated was terrible. Stains on bed linen. Toilet didn't flush. Water dripped out of shower head, had to splash to shower. Shower was steaming hot, no cold water. Kettle didn't work. No mesh between glass bricks, mosquitoes came in. A hole was cut in the wall for the aircon cables, mosquitoes came in. Woke up to mosquitoes buzzing around my head. Hotel corridors had puddles of water, not great when the tiles are slippery. Some puddles had caution signs others didn't. Pool didn't have enough day beds for the amount of people swimming. Breakfast very average. Plates had chips. Hotel Location great. I would not stay at the property again. If you are on a budget and not too worried about the basics stay. If you are after a relaxing holiday best to shop around.

Its in a good location., near beach and shops and dinning places. Three lovely pool areas and bar. Bathrooms in desperate need for upgrade and plumbing. Better lighting needed in rooms. colour palet very dark,furniture all in dark Brown can do with some colour.

Right on the beach, 3rd stay and the staff is what keeps us coming back. Beautiful pool and gardens, breakfast has lots of variety, great place to relax or head out into the bustle of legian.

the place was disgusting no hot water no water pressure and most times no water at all i have better towels in my husbands shed than the ones i had to use the only thing that was any good was the fridge the breakfast was always cold and gross i wouldn't give it any stars and they don't give refunds steer clear of the place didn't have a car to pick us up that we had arranged for asked for a wake up call didn't even get that horrible place don't waste your money Gayle

A great location and the room, grounds and pools were very good.

A great value hotel/resort. Perfect location, great pool area and the suite rooms are spacious. Bathroom was a little tired, but clean and functional. Breakfast wasnt amazing, but was very adequate. For the price, very happy with my stay there.

We paid extra to upgrade because the standard rooms were not up to scratch. It is an old resort that needs work being done to it. The staff were accommodating.

Our last stay at Melasti was about 12 years ago and the rooms are the same. Dated but comfortable enough. We had a family suite, air con worked perfectly. Wi-Fi all around the property and in our room worked and was strong. My two young children enjoyed the pool closest to reception, it was quieter and cleaner than the main pool. A few cool floaties to play on and pool noodles. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was terrible. We went the first day but when ants poured out with the cereal we gave it a miss for the rest of the trip. Hubby did however like the egg station. Plenty of places around the hotel to grab breakfast. Can’t fault the location. Beach across the road, good coffee around the corner (mugshot) and close to some fab restaurants. Pretty quiet at night besides fireworks going off on the beach every so often, we were however close to the beach end of resort. It’s not perfect but I would stay again considering the price and location.

Nice property, pool need some work as do some of the rooms. Breakfast wasn’t great nor the service for breakfast.
