The staff here was amazing & attentive. I love the location. Plenty to do within the area. 10/10. I would definitely come back to this hotel again.

I stayed here while on vacation for my birthday and the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable stay. Amy and Sabina were absolutely amazing. I will definitely return.

The grounds itself was very nice and beautiful. Finding your room in the dark is almost impossible due to the limited signage. The room on the first night had plumbing issues and the stench of sewer gas permeated the entire bathroom every time the toilet was flushed. The hotel was full so I had to endure the smell the entire night. The staff finally got me moved for the balance of the stay. The restaurant was beyond bad. Ordered shrimp appetizer. 35.00 USD got TWO shrimp. Not that good. I ordered a steak medium and it came to the table RAW. Barely cooked. I sent back for another since it was already cut in strips. Next steak came out RAW again. Same as the first one.I advised the restaurant supervisor that everything was not acceptable and that I would never return. I HAVE HAD BETTER MEALS AT MCDONALDS. Sorry guys, Won't be back ever.

The actual hotel was subpar. You can only get towels at the front. Towels should be accessible at all beach entry points. The lighting in the rooms is terrible. The king beds are not one king mattress. No fitted sheets in the beds just a flat sheet. Pillows are small and you get individual blankets.

The property was beautiful and clean!

I just checked out and this was the worse stay I’ve ever experienced. Our room was not properly cleaned the entire time of our stay, we didn’t have water for 12 hours! Meaning no showering or anything. Our door was broken, took them hours to fix and pool was never cleaned and the property pretty much told me I had to deal with it. Worse experience of my life

Loved the privacy of the room, the porch, the pool. Easy access to beautiful sheltered beach with small waves and numerous lounges. Multiple dining and drinking options within walking distance. Friendly and helpful hotel staff.

I loved everything about this place! Beautiful views, amazing service all around. Great restaurant options at at the beach and hotel. Mood and bliss the beauty were our two favorite on site. Hotel easily communicates with you via whatsapp, they will order cabs for you to and from any location on the island. Everyone is super nice and accommodating. Most definitely recommend staying at kontiki such a beautiful resort; and if you stay at a suite, you get a cabana on the beach as well!

The resort is beautifully designed with with lovely apartments and picturesque swimming pools. About 5 of them throughout the complex. Rooms are spacious and clean. Close to the beach and lovely swimming areas. There is a variety of restaurants and bars along the shore. Hotel can get you a taxi anytime.

Front staff was EXCELLENT

An absolutely amazing time for my husband and I. The hospitality and the property were excellent. We’re hoping to come back with our daughters soon!

The beach front rooms are pretty. Parties are too loud. The surrounding area is hideous.

The customer service was excellent and very informative about the island. My room had cracks in the walls big enough to see out of while in bed. A fan in the room would have been nice.

5 star resort, we really enjoyed

We stayed at the luxury suites. The problem is they have the LOUDEST beach parties, that are supposed to end at midnight, but run well into two thirty in the morning ! It makes it hard to sleep, which is a tough pill to swallow after spending the extra money for a suite. I couldn’t stay again because of this noise…if it weren’t for that, I would rate this place 20 STARS!!! Staff is amazing and very helpful, the facility is beyond clean, and plenty of food options near by. Beach on property was amazing !!!

The resort is beautiful, it feautures nice rooms in the midst of a wonderful tropical garden. The beach is also nice and we strongly recommend the mood sushi restaurant. However we were really disappointed with the service, which was generally cold. In particular there was a lady at the reception with curly hair and glasses who was hasty and quite arrogant. We didn’t feel welcome at all while checking in and she was always somehow rude every time we spoke with her. Moreover the staff at cabana beach weren’t much cordial and didn’t seem to have much desire to work. On the other hand the guest service workers were really friendly and hard working.

Beautiful resort

Everything was perfect. The staff were lovely and helpful. The location was perfect. Restaurants, bars, and shops were all walking distance. The beach is beautiful and well kept. We will definitely be back! It’s the epitome of a paradise beach vacation.

The property is amazing beautiful and clean ! We stayed in the kontiki beach front Suites we have our own plunge pool and easy acces to the beach clubs ! We were chosen guest of the day For my birthday! We get a vip cabana in One of the beach clubs it was wonderful!! We got free drinks and beach towels and we also ordered lunch in there which was also amazing . They reserved our dinner at the Marina sushi Mood Beach tht was spextacular Ended our night in the Wet and wild beach club sundays Live Band and Dj music with Free drink perks of staying in the Kontiki Suites everything is literally steps from our hotel and thats why we love it. With the loud music outside the suites we barely hear it aith our rooms doors closed we have the most amazing stay we wanna thank Tarek our helpful guest coordinator and Amy for arranging beautiful decor in our room for my birthday ! shout out to the Servers in cabana beach club , mood beach club , Renu , Amy , Dennis , for pleasant efficient service we definitely will be back ! Will miss our stay here !

Great stay!

The staff was amazing. They were informative, helpful, and attentive. I just wish the king size bed had another mattress on top of the 2 twin size mattresses. My husband and I were sliding apart and every morning we had to push the mattresses back together. Also, I would like to recommend putting a microwave in the barista. During our nine day stay, we ate at multiple restaurants in the area. The food was delicious and there were big portions that I could not finish for dinner. The staff was accommodating in helping me warm up my delicious food for breakfast. My last complaint is that you can only eat food from cabana restaurant on Kontiki beach. There were other restaurants in the same area that I preferred over cabana. The wings were small and burnt the first day we ate there. I did not enjoy the lunch menu. The dinner at the white party at cabana was a little better. I can understand it would be wrong for us to bring food from another restaurant to eat at the cabana restaurant, but we were at the beach and were told we could not eat food from other restaurants at that beach. Despite these few drawbacks, I loved the resort and staff. I will definitely return to Kontiki but unfortunately I will not order chicken wings from Cabana restaurant.

Upon check in, we were greeted royally. Every minute that progressed afterward, affirmed that this was a special place. The rooms were 10/10. We rented 2 beach front units that were joined. From day 1 we slept great in our rooms. The service was 5 star every day, from the restaurants, to the beach bed service, to anything else we requested using what's app. This place is beautiful, clean, friendly, and the water was amazing! I swam for hours everyday. Crystal clear and warm. Some of my favorite staff were Andrea, Jill, Tim and Joshua who worked tirelessly everyday with a smile and positive, and highly professional demeanor. Do not hesitate, book this place and enjoy! We created a lifetime of memories for my family. As for some of the other reviews about the sound from the parties that were hosted, we heard the parties, participated, but had no problem sleeping in comfort. I am currently looking into re booking for next year. Thank you for such a great experience Kontiki!

Lovely resort with a super friendly staff. Excellent beach with lots of space. Lots of bars and activity. Tons of restaurants and some shopping within 1-2 minutes of walking. Recommend VIP accommodations, as the luxury suites come with VIP treatment at the beach (reserved palapa, bucket of ice water, bowl of fruit salad daily). Amazing place to stay.

We love Kontiki! Our rooms are overlooking the fabulous tropical pool, the staff are very attentive, and the beach is perfect for a safe swim, snorkel and a cocktail. It’s a great location with Mambo Beach Boulevard next door. Next time, we might consider an ocean view suite, but as we have two rooms between us and the children, it wasn’t a viable option this time. The food and drinks on site are exceptional too! Thank you Kontiki!!!

Friendly staff Great Resort

9/10 vacation! Staying in the suites were a game changer, highly recommend! The pictures and videos don’t do it justice, the property is so gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing. Loved having Whatsapp to connect about literally anything…room service, excursions, cabs etc. The staff at Cabana Beach gave us an issue every time we went to the beach, gladly Kontiki took care of it. Going into the trip we knew Wed, Fri and Sun were party nights and it would be loud. They give you little earplugs, but the noise was unbelievably loud. Definitely should make some adjustments to cater to the guests and the peoples attending the parties! Overall a vacation we will NEVER forget all bc of Kontiki!

My wife and I stayed at the Kontiki here from July from July 15-20 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff is great, always with a smile and always willing to accommodate. The hotel is on the beach and the location is excellent. There are many restaraunts right there and a within a 5 minute walk. The room was big, nice and very comfortable. You will not be disappointed staying here.
